He cannot be any worse than Payne. Two decent enough signings all things Considered. We still need a winger in and hopefully the loan wibdow will provide. Good luck JCH There is no loan window, all we can sign now is out of contract players.

Some real Lady gardens out on show tonight These two new players have got to be better than the two they have replaced Yes they are not what people wanted, but we are a sh** team in a sh** stadium with NO money to spend, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ! I did expect another CH, winger and striker tbh Hugo. And I thought that the board might have shown a modicum of fight and respect for this football club and put the money in to get them to prevent the millions it will cost if we go down. Again. If that makes me a lady garden for thinking that then so be it bit I also think it shows the true colours of the board and the owners this window. Especially when you have other clubs around you signing 4-6 players and are climbing the league as a result. I never said a word!!!!

Manager Graham Coughlan said, "Jonson is a player that I have worked with before and someone who I believe is a top player at this level.
"He has a great amount of pace, he's strong, has a sweet left foot and is someone that can hold the ball up well.
"I believe that given the right amount of guidance, Jonson can be a real star at this football club."
I say trust the Gaffers judgement, Coventry fans have bemoaned both players leaving them and going to league 1 rivals - lets see what he/they can do before people moan about them.

Haha this is where we see everyone turn from fuming about not signing anyone, to fuming about who we’ve signed before they’ve even seen him play. Quite rich from somebody who was slagging my opinion off about the Wycombe game when you hadn't seen the match itself!! Don’t really see how that’s relevant here? Nice to see you’re one to move on from previous arguments and not hold a grudge though ggmi!

I think this signing shows a massive amount of ambition. We now have two players with double-barreled surnames. We are getting much posher.
Not to mention the fact that we are getting closer to being able to field an entire side of "Clarks". It is a shame Daryl left!!!!

I don’t understand all the negativity now. An hour ago I did. But we’ve signed what we’ve been crying out for. A target man who can score a few goals, granted his scoring record doesn’t scream 20 goals a season at this level but it says he’s capable of 10-15. I’ve actually got a really good feeling about this lad and think him and TN will compliment eachother very well. It's been a dream window really. Not only did we get to moan incessantly for a whole month, by shipping a few unwanted players out, we also got to moan about those players, and we also got to moan that they were leaving. Then by leaving it to the last minute of the final day, we got to moan, not just normal moaning, but proper professional-level high-intensity moaning right up to last last moment, then we got to moan that the window had closed and we didn't sign anyone (probably the highlight of the entire month for the seasoned moaners), and then by signing someone that most of us really have no clue about we get to moan about virtually any aspect of the player we care to pick on. And all this can go on over a rough background of underperformance, underinvestment, and underachievement. It's like Rovers are the perfect club for some people. Also, I'd like to moan that the guy is selfishly taking up three surnames when most players make do with one, leaving players like Alexander-Arnold having to use two first names. Haha well said. I swear it won't be long before every footballer has a double barrel name! To be honest he's a standard Rovers signing, a potential rough diamond. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't. We're not far away from being a decent team at the moment. Lets hope we can get a loan winger in and these guys can help us scrape over the line this season. UTG

I've run this through Gaschat Translate, and it comes out as: "He's nothing special, but it was all I could get. Will he be any good? I've no idea. Tommy tells me he's the dog's bollox, and Hani tells me to stop moaning and pull me finger out".

Thread title makes it look as though we signed three players late on last night. I went from "great bit of late business" to "oh".

Good signing I think, but we’ve got nobody on the left wing to provide the ammunition still.Would not be surprised if we play JCH himself in that position.

Eh? I don't know what you're talking about and I doubt you even know yourself.

I suppose that with a double -barrel surname the club will make a fortune selling all the letters to be ironed onto the back of replica shirts.
I have it on very good authority that we had been offered a mercurial Korean left winger called Li, the loaning club were going to pay US a fee as well as all his wages, but Hani turned it down, saying there wasn't enough margin in replica shirt sales.

Hopefully there are a few left wingers out of favour with their current club and whose contracts expire at the end of the season - they can negotiate a termination of contract and become a free agent allowing us to take them on? bit of a long shot but our only hope now!
