Will no doubt get called a happy clapper and all the rest of it. Saw this on the appreciation page on Facebook and whilst normally the crap on there I just ignore I thought this particular post was excellent.
"So to sum things up two players rumoured to not have the best attitude in the changing room gone. Two new players in one a natural leader and character and a 24 year old striker who's a handful and maybe just what we need we can only hope and give them a chance. Massive plus sercombe and Bonham still here. Time to get behind them all 100% and fight our way out this mess. UTG"
We have our squad now. It is what it is. Let's get behind the lads because they need us between now and May more than ever.

Very good point that we kept hold of Sercombe and Bonham, which are probably the best two "signings" we made this January. Fingers crossed JCH and Ogogo perform well for us too. Payne out is not a problem, although I would have kept Bennett particularly as no replacement has been brought in. In terms of left sided midfielders we are really thin on the ground, and other than cost-cutting I don't see much benefit of allowing Bennett to leave?

I’m not necessarily saying that the new striker is bad business, but on your thread of attiude/ill discipline his details on Wiki suggest that he has had similar issues, albeit in the past

My only issue is Bennett leaving with no replacement, we now have 1 winger.. A left back that plays out of position on the left wing, a central midfielder that is our cover on both wings and maybe some kids who’s named I can’t even think of right now??
I do like the new signings but if something happens to THD or Rodman what the hell do we do?

This. I thought in the appearances he has made this season he has not made much of an impact on a game, losing the ball more often than not. Also, from my vantage point on the west terrace, I was surprised at the number of times I could see him arguing with his team mates when he invariably lost the ball.

Couldn’t give a toss about him leaving I just wanted a replacement

Bennett hardly played in our 8 games out of 10 undefeated run under GC so not having a replacement is hardly a major issue, as long as our strikers can now score goals to win games.

What makes you think they might suddenly start doing that? Well in GC 10 games in charge so far including the 2 in the EFL cup, 5 of those games has seen a striker score, 7 if you include Rodman. We have won 5 drawn 3 and lost 2. Not sure of the stats pre GC but I would suggest that in fact there are indeed signs that our strikers have started scoring to win games.

Happy with th squad, think we WILL stay up this season. Genuinely think th new lad an Nichols will score goals. And as a side note i think WAQ is trying hard behind th scenes, is it taking longer than we want - Yes. Do i think they are finding it much harder than they thought - Yes. Do i wanna see more going on an some visions for th future - Yes. But ya know, i trust th guy. So, Good luck ta th lads - You can do it, no doubt. An good luck ta Wael an keep workin hard pal. 'mon th crazy gang!!!

Yet it almost took a full month to score our first league goal in 2019 after failing to score in 3 games.

Even an ultra negative poster like you has to admit that is a positive start to his career as manager.

Also noticed no Pompey in there. Wheels come off after a great first half of season?
