Easy to say one of the keepers should of gone, but did anyone want them, or were prepared to cover their wages Only Smith could have gone and if nobody wanted him/he's content to see out his contract there's not a lot the club could do, but I doubt one keeper's extra salary is going to that major a concern. Likewise if we couldn't get, or couldn't afford, a winger to join us then we'll just have to make do with what we have got in the squad. Anybody know what's happened to Leads, is he injured or just out of favour, as he seems to have just disappeared? Not sure about that -- Because Lincoln signed another goalie yesterday. So in my mind they could have taken Slocombe back surely ?

If we'd have kept Bennett or replaced him I'd have been fairly happy with our business. As it stands we look very short of options for wide midfield with only one recognised winger in the squad.
Surprising neither Smith or Slocombe have gone out on loan but that could still happen to a Conference side.
A little disappointed to lose Broadbent but the defence os okay and has reasonable cover for all positions.
We have a wealth of options in central midfield and we're hopefully even stronger there with the addition of Ogogo.
Although we'd have all loved a proven 20 goal a season striker like Pitman, Clarke-Harris must be an improvement on Payne so I'm hopeful we're stronger up front.
It's just wide midfield that concerns me. With Mensah and Bennett out on loan we could have done with at least 1 new winger if not 2.
As for best team, it's tough to say without seeing the new boys. Assuming they're good:
GK - Bonham
RB - J.Clarke CB - Lockey CB - Craig LB - Holmes-Dennis
RW - Rodman CM - O.Clarke CM - Ogogo LW - Sercombe
ST - Nichols ST - Clarke-Harris
Really annoys me how now even our fans think sercombe will be best suited our wide. He is in my opinion our best player by a long throw and as far as I’m concerned you play your best player in his best position then make others fill the gaps. Square pegs in round holes contributed towards dc getting the sack I tend to agree aforce, but I understand why people put him there when there are so few other options. Matthews has flattered to deceive and Holmes-Dennis at left back may be a better bet than Kelly at this stage. If Sercs plays centrally should we play 3 in midfield and Rodman and Nichols either side of Clarke-Harris? That works well on paper but depends how adaptable the players are to a new formation. Decisions, decisions. What would you do?
