At best the silent treatment, at worse a torrent of abuse! What will you do.....

Loans are not usually allowed to play against their own club.

I know but hypothetically, plus he might travel with the squad.

I wouldn’t really say he’s put his self out for us, so I’d imagine he’d get almost as much stick as Tomlin. Personally if he’s prepared to play against us, deserves as much sh** as possible 👍🏽

If he plays and then performs like he did for us, he’s best ignored.

Much as I don't like Payne and am glad we have seen the back of him I don't want to see him abused.
I rather hope he doesn't play to be honest so we as supporters can put our energy into cheering on the team rather than shouting abuse at him.
In any event is it not the case that he has not been sold just gone on loan? Assuming he has a minimum 2 year deal he'll return to us at the end of the season so unfortunately he's still our problem for now!

If he played it would guarentee a Vspicey atmosphere. Own goal V sign to the thatchers Redcard and A win for us would have us singing his name at the end. 'Stefan payne can we play against you every week! Can we play against you every week!'

Don't think he will show his face and a good job too.

He is still our player.
Why anyone would want to abuse a player owned by Bristol Rovers is beyond me

You do realise he is still a Rovers player, due back at the end of the season?

If he plays against us, and that's a big if. We as fans should show respect, he hasn't been a success so far - but he is our player and if he could find some of last seasons form could be useful in the future.

I also don't like abusing ex players as I then worry for the whole game that it will come back and bite us, and quite often in the past, that has been the case. Let's put our efforts into positively supporting our team. Hopefully, he cant play against us anyway.

If he plays for one of our relegation rivals against us it would be crazy in the extreme, and if its the case and he gets load of abuse and stick just remember,'the villain usually scores'!just ignore him if it does happen as he might think he has a point to prove!he is still our player and should be treated as such.

Give him a good reception.
If he is expecting abuse to fire him up it will take the wind out of his sails.
If he is indifferent to it, it shows ourselves in a good light. Stay classy. Win win.
