Always wanted to play on that pitch so I’m 100% in, what’s the cost? as I can’t be bothered to read the article Istb £1250+VAT for a squad of up to 18, or for two squads of up to 18, to play each other (not really clear which). If it’s for both squads then it’s only 40 - £50 each. Not too bad.

I would most definitely pay 40 quid to play at the mem , only problem is , I’m f**king sh** at football and no none would want me on their team 😂 Me too. I'm tall, fat, slow and the wrong side of fifty and cannot pass a ball so may actually prove a useful centre half partner to a fitter and younger one. Definitely a half at the most for me though. I'm the right side of 50 but still fat and slow. I'd be up for a half though.

Im going to try and get a charity event together to play the OTIB folk, however its unlikely to be able to get organised for this season. Was a huge success lat time and a decent sum raised for Childrens Hospice SW Watch this space and i will post up some details once ive given it some more thought. Would be interested in options for a potential Charity ? I would put forward - Teenage Cancer Trust Playing against OTIB? Minimum of 5 players sent off for either side then!

You know I play with balls right? Wouldn't you prefer to be the man on the touchline running on with the cold sponge to treat groin injuries?

Actually I was probably really ambitious with my fitness levels so does anyone fancy half of a half ?

More revenue for the club while the pitch isn't in use over the summer. Plus potentially some money behind the bar too. As long as the pitch can handle it then I'm all for it Not sure I agree. This is a professional football club we are running , not a leisure centre. Are we so desperate for cash we need to hire the first team playing surface out? Surely utilising the bars by having some events would be better. Yes I can see your point but clubs with artificial pitches do it all the time. I know we don’t have an artificial pitch but I presume that the groundsman has been consulted and it will be at a less busy time. So long as it doesn’t harm the surface I can’t see anything wrong with doing this. And lots of professional clubs, albeit probably non-league, do it for community schemes. Hiring the surface out doesn’t make us less professional imo and I bet we will start hiring out the other facilities if we can. Surely were we ever able to build a new ground we would be hiring out the facilities in order to make money? I thought that was one of the reasons to do it. And yes we probably are desperate for cash, I’ve never known a time when we weren’t!! 😉 UTG!

I’m a decent goalkeeper and I’d be up for that. Gaschat v gas guzzlers or whatever they’re called should be good. Me too socrates, but that was a few years ago! 😉 UTG!

I’m leading my teams man of match awards this season , injured at the moment as recovering from broken ribs , a damaged lung and internal bleeding but on the mend and will be playing again in a couple of weeks. Mad us goalkeepers aren’t we. We could play 45 minutes each of your up for it ?

This is the worst injury I’ve had, played on once I’d got my breathe back but wouldn’t have if I’d known my lung was bleeding. But glad I did as we won and I got man of the match but that sums it up really. Us keepers will do anything to keep it out. The most scared I’ve been on a pitch was when I saved a point blank shot in the throat , couldn’t breathe for about a minute and honestly thought my time was up. Ended up in hospital with a camera shoved up my nose and down my throat which wasn’t the best experience. Not as bad as a fractured skull though. Takes bollocks to come back after that.

Surely Gaschat subscribers are the most loyal supporters, although we could hold an arm wrestling contest first. Alternatively we could play in blue and white quarters whilst they play in white and blue quarters. 😉
