As I said we can keep the friendliness AND create a tremendous atmosphere. Three points ,a very noisy atmosphere and the Sunderland fans going home safe and empty handed and amazed at the noise of our support. I think they'll be more amazed at the crappiness of our stadium.

Wouldn't mind meeting the miserable Mackam twat that beat me up and nicked my scarf in 1973 outside Stapleton Road station. Treat them with respect ?
Small town near Durham, you're just a small town near Durham........

Amazed at the fact it still ĺooks as sh**e as it did when they visited nearly 20 years ago.

Sunderland fans were truly magnanimous in victory and I sincerely hope we have the chance to be equally as magnanimous in victory tomorrow.

Back in December we travelled to Sunderland at probably our lowest point since our relegation to the Conference. We were in the bottom four and had just sacked DC. There was to be on that day no "New manager" effect as we lost 2-1 but we played well and were unlucky to lose and with a bit of luck would have equalised in the last minute. I believe we took about 1600 in a crowd near 30,000 but that day we took accolades from the home fans for the tremendous support that we gave our team and tomorrow we get the chance to show Sunderland fans the same respect or should I say enhance the reputation we created that day. Tomorrows game will see a similar amount of Sunderland fans arrive at the Mem. There will be more of us than them but nowhere near the levels of their home support but we get our chance to make them as welcome as we were made in that fixture. it only takes a handful of fans to ruin a reputation but I very much hope that tomorrow we will produce the kind of atmosphere that will enhance our reputation but also will create an atmosphere that drowns out the Sunderland fans and is intimidating in the right way for their team to play in. I very much hope that the team play with a pressurising their defence from the off style particularly now we have a centre forward who can compete physically because this will give us, as supporters something to create a noise from the start. whatever happens we need to be the 12th man for the entire 90minutes so in Delia Smiths famous words "Let's be havin' you.Gasheads". Lets ensure that Sunderland fans have a great day in Bristol with everything apart from the result!! Get your point Steve but think you should change the thread title. I would rather "Give Sunderland fans a ****ing headache!"

The best supporters I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and having a drink and a laugh with were Sunderland & Rotherham fans. There are others but these two sets were my favourites

Apart from a suspiciously named T_bone that is. Got a lot of time for Sunderland supporters too, seem to be a decent bunch.

Nice comments from Sunderland. Print that b*****ep. Probably not. They only do hate stories.

We spoke to some really nice fans outside welly, they want to get to Wembley as well, thought they might not be too bothered.
