as others have posted our corners etc have been terrible for years , usually consisting of Chris lines sticking his arm in the air and delivering the same ball which no one ever got there head on!, the best delivery i can remember was v the wombles this season ,vicious in swinger aka Beckham,to loads of Rovers players crowding g/k at near post, messy but resulted in a goal! was it Mathews who took it? have not seen it repeated since, is Mathews the only one who can deliver like that? mind you his deliveries from open play were pretty dire to!can we do what NFL do and bring a player on just to take corners?

CL: "Right lads. When we get a corner, I'll stick me arm in the air to signal that I'm going to float a long one in."
GC: "Sounds like a plan, Linesey. What will you do if you plan a low one to the near post?"
CL: "Well, I won't do that, coz me arm is in the air isn't it?"

What about our throw ins then? Please don't get me started!!!
Tbh we may as well just hand the opposition the ball and save the time / hassle because we seem to lose possession most of the time.
I also notice that when the opposition are taking their throw ins we seem to back off and give them loads of space to control the ball and execute a pass.
Throw ins, corners and free kicks provide a great opportunity for an advantage in the game, if we could sharpen up on these it could make a big difference to our performance. This is an improvement that can be achieved through work on the training ground, all it requires is practice.
