Karl Oyston was removed from the Blackpool FC board by receivers yesterday. This following many years of controversy, including having been found to be “illegitimately stripping” the club. Blackpool Supporter Joe Atherton joined Harley Thorne for the latest episode of our build up series, to run us through just how bad it’s been for Blackpool under Oysten ownership. gas-cast.co.uk/blog/podcast/build-up-blackpool-h-ft-joe-atherton/

Great so Blackpool the club that have been under a massive dark cloud for years have finally got rid of the man who was ruining them , three days before they play us. Glad they’ve got rid but timing couldn’t be worse for us probably .

Glad they’ve got rid but timing couldn’t be worse for us probably . Yeah... they're already in a pretty good position all things considered. This positive (and the return of their home crowds) could see them really kick on.

Massive admiration for how they've stuck to the boycott for so long, getting the attention and ultimately result they need - some of our fans won't even do it for a handful of games 😂

Listened earlier today. It was mildly interesting but I tune in to hear about Rovers stuff on a Gas podcast. Sorry if that sounds a bit grumpy but just my opinion .

Normally I enjoy the podcasts but I pretty much knew all the Blackpool back story anyway.
