This may have been mentioned before somewhere within the deep, dark realms of Gas Chat and I'm sorry to create yet another stadium/training ground thread to add to the forum's tally, however the Al Qadi's intentions regarding the stadium and the training ground have been playing on my mind. Now I'm not planning to start another mile long stadium thread, I'm not claiming that I know or claiming that anybody else knows what is going on behind the scenes, although it would be interesting to know what our thoughts/predictions are regarding the future home of our beloved football club.
Now there is some talk about finances, claiming that the ALQ's have.. well... none, but I don't believe that a family of Jordanian bankers would buy a football club with the intentions of building a state of the art new stadium (UWE) had they been unable to fund it. Equally, I find it just as hard to believe that the ALQ family would have bought a League 1/2 football club, wasting ridiculous money just to be Wael's "plaything". So what are the actual intentions of our owners? My prediction is that something very exciting is coming. The Colony was bought by our owners and has been turned into a glorified forest in the time since. Why no development? Why no hope for the Colony? Well I believe that the Colony was bought at a time when the UWE was down the toilet and it was looking like a re-developed Mem for BRFC, however the silence over the Colony and the stadium alike has led me to believe that Wael and co. could possibly have an exciting new plan in the wings, perhaps plans to incorporate a stadium and training ground in one sight? Now I'm not from Bristol, I don't live in Bristol, I don't know Bristol, so it's unlikely that I could guess where such a site would be or how realistic my prediction is, but the silence just seems too weird to me. I just cant see a 21st century, modern businessman like Wael and his family lying through their teeth to thousands of people, or not having any plans for our loss making football club (that is unless the rumours are true and they do indeed plan to sell the club). Frankly, I cant make head or tail of any of it but I'm dead excited to find out!
I'd love to hear everyone's speculations and thoughts in this uncertain time.. just keep it friendly.
UTG!

Nice first/last post! ๐๐ป Just interested to know what the gas family are thinking may happen as somebody who doesn't have the opportunity to interact with other gasheads very often.. if you don't like the post then don't respond to it, you never have to read it again. A little support for the team and fans alike might get us further than complaints and sarcastic responses... who knows? UTG

Thanks for your contribution. We're a welcoming bunch usually. A little introduction would probably be the approach to take for a new poster. How you got involved with Rovers etc rather than opening with questions that are at the heart of the club currently. Happy to see a new poster here though

Whilst you're temporarily out of your cave, I would suggest you have a read of the thread entitled "I wish this takeover.........? That should answer all of your queries. We DONT need another thread on the subject of the owners wealth, intentions etc etc.

To be fair I think a lot our users are from outside Bristol. Infact, of the forum users I know I would say only about 10-20% actually live in the city....

Ima Bristolian living in Bristol. To me the uwe was our big opportunity. The location its transport links and fast growing population were ideal. The owners intentions? Yet to hear them as im hoping for new owners

We 'll go for the cheap land avonmouth Rovers 40 acres have been put aside for "Social Development" Projects...... That should satisfy our owners desire to build a Stadium Complex with 27 Hotels with gyms...

The funding is quite simply answered, the Alq's would/wil not be funding a stadium. Investors would or will , just like the Emirates,Tottenham and just about every other new stadium apart from Sh1tgate

Filton Airport.
The ALQ's have been busy arranging a certain event this weekend, I cant say too much but it's a proof of concept that the infrastructure around the airport can take the 1000's of fans and a striker who is MASSIVE in ATTACK.
Once this secret mission has been completed, I am sure we will hear how we have bought the whole of Filton Airport (inc Concorde for trips to Jordan).
The future is gurt lush.
