I have no doubt that all the Checkatrade protesters were at the game yesterday and witnessed the great game we all have been waiting all season season for. It shows that the team is capable of better performances. Before yesterdays game I would have given us no chance of beating sunderland on Tuesday. Now I see its entirely possible, a repeat of Saturday performance yes, a repeat of the briliant atmosphere at that game ......NO. The protesters will make sure by non attendance, that the team won't get the support or the atmosphere they so enjoyed and responded to on Saturday One last point berfore I go into witness protection. Wael has regularly been castagated for not putting more money into the club, by carrying on this pointless protest, you are doing the same thing. The income from a Wembley final could be vital to the club. Help them to get to Wembley by creating the atmosphere against Sunderland that Gasheads are famous for. Putting flax jacket on now. What’s the point of this....? Fans go/don’t go as they see fit. Been done to death many times before. We all understand/respect our respective positions, we agree to disagree. Move on.

Oh yay and now for the same old debate to rumble again. Can't we just agree to disagree? Some want to support the team regardless, some want to boycot the competition for the greater good. We won't be able to agree so let's just leave it at that shall we? I would agree with that. To be honest the OP comes across as aggresive trying to poo poo the boycotters and the not real fans type of argument that winds everyone up. No need for it.

Were you not hugged as a child ? You really seem to crave attention, give it a rest now for Christ sake and stop trying to stir sh** between fans who wish to attend and fans who painfully choose not to. I’ve chosen not too and it’s not painful for me. Painful would be watching the Gas v an -23 side in the league in a few years knowing that I’d supported the idea. Each to their own though.

We as a football club voted against B teams. By boycotting I am protesting against a decision that our football club rightly took. We have more right and reason to not support this competition than the majority of clubs. The owners haven’t done much right, however voting against the introduction of B teams is 1 very important thing they did do for the good, and futures of our and every lower league club. We’re in it so we have to play it. We don’t have to watch it. Being on sky and the money we have made by getting this far covers every single 1 of us turning up on Tuesday. BOYCOTT. Stop being used, and abused by the premier league. You are spoiling it for proper football fans who don’t want the league structure changed and ruined.

I feel sorry for people who have been doing moral gymnastics since the Port Vale game over this turd of a competition.

Thank you for the original post. I will make sure that I seek morale support from those that choose to go to the Checkatrade match for the rest of the season.
Will we see you at Scunthorpe I ask? I am a boycotter and proud of it.

There’s 72 teams in the Football League. This competition is the stepping stone to pushing these proud teams, with long histories and loyal fans, down the pyramid just because Premier League sides stockpile kids then refuse to play them. It's shameful and deserves no support what so ever. The competition must be boycotted!

I can remember testing a po when I was a little nipper! OP your spelling is slightly wrong. The point of your post escapes me! Potesters in the thread title has now been corrected to protesters.

Thanks for the patronising o p sentiments, I'm very comfortable with choices I've made. I wish there were more throughout the country.
But 3900 at Bury last week (only including 400 Pompey fans) reinforces my decision. I saw that as a moral victory stance.
I urge everyone to boycott the match and help fund the club in other ways to ensure we won't lose money.
For the sake of long term gain.

This competition was our competition (Div 1 and 2) and it's like when you were a kid and the big kids just bullied their way in and ruined everything. The greed of the 'big' clubs and the EFL is disgraceful. Hopefully the Sponsors will see a near empty Wembley and withdraw their funding. Money is the only thing that matters to the EFL and football doesn't even come a close second (fans feelings aren't even a consideration). Having said that I have no problems with anyone wanting to watch the Sunderland game. It's a personal choice.

To the people who say it won’t make a difference I ask if nobody went to Wembley for the final would they scrap the idea or keep it going ? I asked this the other day. Pretty sure nobody said they’d keep it going. Well ?

Don't think there'll be too much of a boycott, there's not a stand seat left anywhere in the ground.
Sounds more like a sell out to me.

Ogogo is cuptied. Clarke-Harris was still limping 30mins after the game but doesnt appear anything to serious. But Obviously any players not 100% has to be rested. The players gave us everything yesterday and id imagine most wld be resting today
