We have looked solid the last few games. Obviously we all have mentioned JCH and his goals, but he has also one a few headers in our own box, when we have been under pressure. Hopefully we can keep it up. That's a good point, something we have missed since Ellis left.

As well as saying he has a hammer of a left foot! None of our other strikers help out from corners etc.

To add to my post above.......... Bonham as last night, came for everything and it’s cleer now Locks and Craig and the rest know what he’s coming for. The whole back 5 are in unity. The free headers from set pieces have stopped as well in the main and I’m sure being an ex defender Cogs has worked on this in training. Does anyone see how many headers Ogogo wins and how good was Upson last night and in front of the defence?! To simply praise just the defence is unfair, Upson is doing a good job in front of them and we can’t forget we are playing 4 central midfielders now in front of them and it’s working. Even Rodman can defend. Praise must go to Locks and Craig though, they have to talk to Upson and listen to Bonham, if we stay up which we will these two have turned the corner and will be a main reason we have improved in 2019 It's right that the back line and GK are given praise but as you say we are defending as a team, I was also particularly impressed by Sercombe, Nichols and JCH last night who all tracked back at times when the Gills were coming forward into our half.

But Locks is sh** and Craig is past it? James Clarke is League 2 at best and THD is a crook whilst Kelly is too young and inexperienced?
Whooa steady on. I know he probably took a pay cut to come here but there is no evidence he has turned to crime

Weve learnt how to grind out results which is what you need when ina relegation battle the teams giving it 100% You also need it in a promotion battle - grind out 1-0 wins / win ugly / win wen you’ve not played that well. It does make me smile though when people dismiss our recent results in saying we’ve much tougher games yet. Sorry we never get results or win at Southend Walsall Portsmouth Scunthorpe or Gillingham so aren’t they hard games. We just might surprise a few people v Charlton, Luton, Doncaster Barnsley etc; in how good a side we actually are if not becoming. So..... bring on Charlton ! Such a shame we can’t play some of our earlier matches again with this team !!!!

Solidity, not solidarity.

Keep a clean sheet away from home a team is always likely to snatch a win as we know to our cost, our problem over the last couple of seasons was that we never hardly kept a clean sheet.

Solidity, not solidarity. Solidarity means 'unity or mutual support' which is what our defence has been and is providing... harmony, cohesion, team spirit. But thanks for your meaningful contribution to this thread

Programme on Saturday has this headline - 'Tough, craggy, organised, experienced centre defender helps defence become shock... A tough, craggy and organised 'team', and gives GK confidence'
On a serious note, well done all. Like others have said it's a team effort.
