Some of the disrespect shown here is pretty disgusting really. Our greatest ever manager. End of. Yes great achievements but this season he lost the plot the plot as GC has demonstrated thus far was not that difficult to unravel I’m sure it’s just banter, calm down dear

It's hard enough supporting this club so try being the only guy holding the club together for a number of years. Cant wait to see him back in the game doing what he does best.

IF we stay up, it paints both DC and GC in a good light, in my opinion. When a club is truly rotten it is impossible to turn around, as we have seen a couple of times in our recent past. DC probably lost his way a little but he also had a lot of bad luck with personal issues with players and forwards that looked decent on paper when we signed them, just not firing. Add in Holmes-Dennis not being fit until literally the game after he left and it was a bit of a perfect storm. GC could come in with fresh eyes, go back to basics and get rid of a couple of players who brought the dressing room down. Now we have to make bloody sure we can finish the job!

Just in case anyone is interested (just saw on facebook), I thought it's really nice to see DC & GC at Cheltenham together. How I wish I was in that room, I'd do anything to hear that conversation! DC looks taller - must be the result of having all that weight lifted from his shoulders!

Glad to see DC looking so good and getting away from football for a time and enjoying life. TBH I don’t think too much disrespect being shown, think I’ve read far worse stuff. Great to see GC/DC getting on as I would expect. Two good men who’ve both done good things for our club. UTG!

DC has won four promotions in what 6 and a half seasons ? , is a top bloke and very successful lower league manager at the age of 41 , that’s some going. Cogs has completely turned things around and at the moment things are looking up which I thought they would , after his caretaker role I was impressed and one of those that wanted him permanently. However it’s early days , he’s 3 months in to his managerial career he hasn’t really proven anything yet. DC has.

Whilst I understand what you’re saying, the fact is that in those 3 months he has attained a 50% win record. What more does he need to do? Add on the fact that he has turned our defensive frailties around and we now possess the fourth best goals against record in the league. I’ve looked up Coughlan’s playing and coaching history and have come to the conclusion that Starnes and the board might just have unearthed a gem. Early days I know but the signs are good.

Ps the goals against record has been good all season.

He can’t win games he hasn’t played yet. Coughlan was brought in last summer to sort out our defence, which he has duly done. I would say he’s been an unqualified success so far.

That is a shocking thing to say about our club when you have NO grounds to say it Remember a club is what we make it as fans, not the owners

That it wasn't rotten reflected the good work from DC. That's how I read what I think is a balanced and really well thought out post.

For clarity, as you have completely misrepresented my post, when the club has been at its worst points in the past (ie under Buckle, McGhee, Ward) I would not level any blame at our fans, who supported us through thick and thin. I have often made the point that our average attendance increased in the season we got relegated to the conference and increased again in our conference season. Indeed, without this support at our lowest ebb, we may not have been able to bounce back straight away.
