Any other ex-forces going up early for the 11am Justice for Veterans march in support of Soldier F at 11am from Horse Guards? I'm going up from Sussex and will be in the The Lord Moon of The Mall, on Whitehall from 9am if you fancy a beer and a chat. INT CORPS beret.

Hope it goes well. The witch-hunt against former soldiers is, imo, disgraceful. Of course real 'war-crimes' shouldn't go unpunished - but what is happening now is politically driven.

All before my time and that, but if there is a case to answer then time should be no barrier to justice. We only have to look at Hillsborough on today the 30th anniversary for that. Reading this it sounds like there is a case to answer and if soldier F is innocent then he can put this all behind him when the court finds him so www.bbc.com/news/uk-northern-ireland-47540271

But as it stands the terrorists have immunity from prosecution but the veterans don't. What sort of society are we living in where the terrorists have more rights and protection than veterans. We aren't asking for special treatment, just equal treatment.

But as it stands the terrorists have immunity from prosecution but the veterans don't. What sort of society are we living in where the terrorists have more rights and protection than veterans. We aren't asking for special treatment, just equal treatment. That is simply not true. When in power the Labour government tried to get a bill through parliament that would grant immunity to IRA terrorists. They lost the vote , but then by the backdoor arranged for letters of immunity to be sent to approx 200 IRA terrorists. As soon as the Tory government came to power they said these letters did not mean immunity would be granted if sufficient evidence proved a terrorist was guilty. That is the case as things stand at present. As regards soldier f, it has been decided there is sufficient evidence to bring him to court and their is a case to answer. Apparently soldier f has not helped his cause by changing his story on several occasions.

I'm happy to have the thread here, so that interested parties can meet up, etc, but if we're gonna have a General Chat type chat about it, then please start a thread in General Chat, thanks.
