For me, I felt that Rochdale game was one I had seen about ten times this season. Void of any quality, desire, pressing, or gameplan. Then, a suckerpunch away goal to throw away the game. Accrington Southend Walsall Scunthorpe Gillingham Barnet Wycombe to name a few We deserve to go down, and if we hadn't snatched that late winner against bottom of the table Bradford, we would be. You only deserve to go down, if you finish in the bottom 4! Expect all the teams at the bottom can list of similar games. Our probably worse seeing as loads have way worse goal difference. Not for me, there's probably about 6/7 teams that deserve to go down this year, but only 4 can.

Not many of the posts I saw on the forum following yesterday's dismal performance were exaggerations. Yes, you get one or two that go over the top with their criticism and lose perspective but it's hard to be positive about the team after witnessing such mediocrity against another team that were similarly as poor as us. I never go into a game against Rochdale and think it will be a walkover, we've struggled at their place a lot in the past and they have managed to build a competitive L1 team that ought to be given the respect it deserves. What I do expect however is for us to try and put in a good performance against a similarly placed team in the division at home and go for the three points and I just didn't see that yesterday which is why I am so disappointed especially considering that mathematically securing our place in league one was on the line. I hope that you are right in saying that we will be a better team next year but from what I saw from the team, an awful lot of work has to be done and tough decisions will have to be made if we want to push on and have a successful campaign.

I think watching Rovers at the Mem this season has been death by a thousand cuts. Last night being the best opportunity to secure safety and round off a nice bank holiday weekend, and we lost to yet another bottom 8 side at home. I think that, tied in with all the crap off the field, is the reason for people's frustrations.
