I didn't watch today but listened and have seen the highlights and then I read the forums. I really wonder what some people's perspective is or how much sense of reality there is out there!? When we win there have been some ridiculous posts talking us up and for some reason everyone seems to think that just because some teams are below us, we should be spanking them..... and woe behold if we lose to them, we suddenly have a squad of crap players and a manager who hasn't got a clue (yet when we went on our run he was lauded as the best manager out there)... do people not realise that the most dangerous teams are those who are fighting for their lives? We haven't been free flowing or pleasing on the eye yet we've ground out results because we have had to. People talk about floaty corners and free kicks yet I've seen plenty of games and highlights and there are some but we do whip some in a vary it... just think that we need to have perspective that every game is going to be a real tough test and battle, we have no given right to be beating anyone and this season is all about just staying up. Next season after a summer recruitment drive where I think we'll see a lot of comings and goings and we'll have a much better year next season

Out of interest did they manage to find over 10 seconds of highlights?

Perhaps the fact fans who did bother to turn up today are entitled to have a moan after their Easter was ruined by a woeful performance where I can;t recall us testing the goalie once, meaning that we're no odds on to suffer the most home defeats ever of 12 in one season. This against a team who probably have half our own wage bill and made 4 changes following Saturdays game.

Maybe they should show the lowlights, would give a better perspective, but they would be 80 mins long.

And that's about it. apart from the nice link-up-play King comically falling over his own feet several times during his latest demonstration of how not to even remotely look like scoring a goal, despite being a c£350k striker signing, in 2 seasons of football. I wonder if he will give the negatives to whoever he is blackmailing at this club when he moves on.

I`m genuinely pleased for me.

I think the most frustrating thing about this season (IMO), is the players are more than capable to do well in this league, each one on their day are very good league one players, some even championship standard, but time and time again this season especially in front of a home crowd they have not performed or shown the raw desire to want to do well.

I think the main issue is the woeful home record all season (which has only marginally improved under GC) and with that the so few goals scored at home (or even the lack of shots and attacking play by us in these home games). We sit back and play like the away side and the crowd have little to get them going. We've lost 11 at home - a joint record and still Barnsley to play I hope and think you are right about the last comment. UTG !

The problem is Scunthorpe had a lot of “comings and goings” last Summer and were predicted to do well. I would prefer quantity in the right areas with tweaks in Jan. Just glad it’s not me making the calls!

We I'm sure most of us can see we need more fresh faces - a natural left footer; some more pace in the team too.

I'll leave it to others to decide on individual players, but would caution against a mass exodus. It would be important to me for us to retain the golden thread/corporate memory of the DC years (through the likes of Tom Lockyer and Ollie Clarke) and keep the team spirit of those darker days at least for another season. Personally I would prefer a first team of around 18-20 players with the U23s as backup, at least until January when we can add as necessary. I'd prioritise about 4 or 5 new players to add a bit of quality with a GK, midfield playmaker and strike partner for JCH the key roles to fill.

Liam Sercombe Tony Craig Tarieq Holmes-Dennis Jack Bonham (albeit on loan) Four superb signings. Personally, I think Bennett was a good signing too, he's just lost a bit of form and not been used rhe same way this season. Appreciate that's no longer a fashionable view though! Put it against the backdrop of having to sell absolute quality that he had already brought in and/or developed in Taylor, Bodin and Harrison and not being able to spend as much on their replacements (which is fair enough...that's a lower league manager's lot), it's not a bad record.

For me, I felt that Rochdale game was one I had seen about ten times this season. Void of any quality, desire, pressing, or gameplan. Then, a suckerpunch away goal to throw away the game.
Accrington Southend Walsall Scunthorpe Gillingham Barnet Wycombe
to name a few
We deserve to go down, and if we hadn't snatched that late winner against bottom of the table Bradford, we would be.

Not watched highlights yet, but seeing as though Sercombe nearly scored twice, JCH had a shot saved, we had a header cleared off the line I expect they managed to find some. Our wasn't a good performance and I think a draw would have been fair. But it wasn't as bad as a lot are making out.

You only deserve to go down, if you finish in the bottom 4! Expect all the teams at the bottom can list of similar games. Our probably worse seeing as loads have way worse goal difference.

I tend to agree with this. I think when some signings were made they looked decent enough - if you look at Nicholls & Payne, they both had scored goals at this level & I thought Rodman was a really good signing. Unfortunately for DC, the likes of THD took longer to get fit than thought, then Rodman, apparently changed the insoles in his boots that caused his injuries & had some personal problems, Payne had about 15 pairs of insoles in his boots that prevented him getting off the ground & Nicholls lost his lucky insoles that made him 6” taller & gave him ability to score.
