It’s starting to take shape a bit ominously .... This Saturday ....Plymouth to comfortably win at ‘safe’ Accrington, Southend to win at ‘safe’ Rochdale ..safety the magical 51 points. ... Wimbledon to breeze past Wycombe. Scunthorpe to beat Bradford.
Rovers 50 points Plymouth 50 points Southend 50 points Wycombe 50 points Scunthorpe 49 points Wimbledon 48 points
Rovers, Southend or Wimbledon for that last place....possibly Wycombe or Plymouth / Scunthorpe
Wimbledon away at Bradford Southend home to Sunderland Rovers home to Barnsley Wycombe home to Fleetwood Plymouth home to Scunthorpe ( one of these will finish below us)
However according to GCs table we are 7th and looking good for the play offs ... sleepwalking once again into Relegation.

Very thankful for Ollie Clarke’s 25 yard screamer at AFC Wimbledon now, things would have looked a lot different without it.

Yes agree .... hoping that Sunderland can beat Portsmouth on Saturday as well .... we need Sunderland to have to win against Southend otherwise they might just put the fringe players in for their last game.

Are we going to win at 'safe' Fleetwood then? Nothing guaranteed, but if stays as it is tonight, I think we will be fine. However I would like us to take control of our own destiny and go beat Fleetwood.

Draw at Fleetwood would do it and Barnsley might yet "rest" players against us if they have no chance of going straight up.

My worry is that ‘Mad Joey’ will have his guys right up for a scrap after the Mem earlier in the season .... we will go eight defenders, try to hold out for 65 minutes then Ashley Hunter will score a late winner when James Clarke is out of position once again. Lottery numbers to follow ...

There will be something on the line for Barnsley as they are two points clear in the playoffs and are playing Blackpool at home next weekend. Unfortunately for us it will be a massive game for them so hopefully we can secure safety at Fleetwood.

Are Rochdale & Accy (assuming they win) safe with 51 points ? 4th bottom are on 46 so can get to 52, obviously some of the bottom sides play each other but I'd argue they'll both be looking to make sure. If we'd drawn with Rochdale how many of us would still have felt we needed another point to be sure ?

Fair play to Accrington, beat Doncaster at home 1-0 and now winning away 2-0. Compare that with our 0-4 and 4-1 hammerings by Doncaster.

If we'd drawn with Rochdale how many of us would still have felt we needed another point to be sure ? I think we'd have been practically safe on 51 coz of our goal difference, but Rochdale's goal difference is awful so they wouldn't be.

If we'd drawn with Rochdale how many of us would still have felt we needed another point to be sure ? Our GD's give us an extra point so is comparable to their 52pts but I agree they both probably need a point to be safe but unlike us yesterday you sense they won't just role over and die on Saturday anyway

They have also got points against the likes of Sunderland, Pompey and Charlton and beaten Ipswich in the FA Cup. Well done to John Coleman and his players. Done really well this season to compete on a fraction of our budget.

No chance will Accrington go lightly against Plymouth. John Coleman and co know exactly what can happen when chickens are counted.
