I haven't spent a penny in there since they did the dirty on us, be interested to know how many others are still avoiding them. They didn't 'do the dirty' on us. The economy and changing shopping habits did the dirty on them, and they didn't want to pay us for something they no longer required. Every single large company in Britain would have done the same if presented with a leaky contract with get-outs. As would virtually every citizen in Britain if faced with a legal way of avoiding paying for an item they haven't yet had delivered, and no longer want. Boo boo. I still shop there. So offering £10m + more than the nearest other offer just to stop your competitor getting the site, knowing you will never buy the site, is not doing the dirty ?

I don't go Sainsbury whatsoever... Neither do I, there’s still far too much white powder about in that town. Bloody Russians!

If you can prove to me that the story is true, and not just something that somebody invented on the internet, which some have chosen to believe, then I will be very impressed, and will never doubt a conspiracy theory again.

Glad to see the Gas are keeping up the boycott.
May the proud name of Bristol Rovers outlast the shameful place. May it's name be consigned to history like others before it. One day it will join the likes of Safeway, Kwik Save and bristol city 1894.

When the second highest offer was 22 million and Sainsbury's offered 29 million, they did the same to City around the Ashton Vale saga, it should have rang alarm bells among the Rovers hierarchy but they chose to ignore it. It was the greed of Higgs and co that caused the sale of the Mem to collapse just as much as Sainsbury's disgraceful actions and the market trends.

It begins with a “K”, ends with an “A”, and got “ARM” in the middle. I’m in full Schadenfreude mode after reading that. UTG!

Exactly. They could have spent that money on buying the Mem, had some money left over, and actually have something to show for it rather than watering it all away for nothing. Can't help but chuckle at it all.
