I originally posted this in general sport but I reckon it is Rovers related, so I am posting it here too. Karma is a bitch

Strangely I won't mind if they do come straight back up though that little prank has stuck in my craw for all these years. I feel satisfied that they have paid the price and will have learnt a little humility.

Pretty much the only reason I wanted them to go down. After a few years of them spanking us we seemed to do pretty well against them more recently.

The Karma police have been claiming lots of overtime on this one.
I reckon 7000 people holding up a printed sheet saying Could be a lot worse could be a #yeovil(e) town supporter would be cool but incredibly childish.
Just a thought like, though would prefer if it was the franchise

TBF. They still have a life outside of football. It does not seem that they were running riot like some of the Premier League prima donnas do. It really gets in my craw that fans will boast about seeing such and such a player in a pub/bar and having a chinwag. Yet, sometimes those same fans will scream blue murder if the results are not good. Alfie Biggs was a fixture in the Eastville Club and even though he would advise younger players to get an early night, he would be hitting the night spots available in Bristol during his time. It never did him any harm and it was considered that he could run most of his team mates into the ground at training sessions. Yeovil had already been relegated. It would not matter one jot if the staff concerned got legless on Saturday night. Nothing would change their fate.

I think they should have been forced to take iced baths and whip themselves with birch twigs.

Honestly, if you have to not go out on just one weekend in your life, then do the weekend you get relegated to the conference. Surely it can't be that difficult.

It would not matter one jot if the staff concerned got legless on Saturday night. Nothing would change their fate. Leaving the baron and the 1950's out of it for a minute (come on, you must know that players were seriously unfit compared to today...) there are 365 days in a year and these idiots chose the day the club they played for was relegated for the third time in 5 seasons, to go out on the town, before some fans would have even got home from the match. If that's the sort of players you want then wave goodbye to any success at a small club like ours because baring a multi millionaire owner spending money (& spending wisely) a small club still has to rely on the characters of players rather than just their talent. Some of them were loanees, which has been one of Yeovil's great successes and greater failures at a club that is clearly rotten to the core. There were allegations of similar behaviour a week previous. The interim mgr is due to be Director of Football under the new owner (IF that goes ahead) and there are clearly vested interests at stake there. Rotten. Absolutely rotten.
