With our stadium and financial situation just staying in lg1 is a success... Unless the stadium issue is resolved its lg2 again We've stayed in Lg1 for 3 years without a new Stadium. Yep, 3 successful seasons so far in my view. This season was a close shave but ultimately we succeeded in staying up.

Realistically the longer we can stay in this league with our facilities, we cannot really complain. The owners need to show their mettle and sort our club out behind the scenes, and then we can start to look beyond L1.

If someone said no matter what, we'd be a Lg1 side for the next 2 seasons, I'd take that no problem. I'm struggling to see good news regarding a Stadium or Training facilities in the near future, and I can't see much money spent on signings either. So, we're back to supporting as only we can do and just pray GC or whomever we have at the helm, can give us something to cheer about. The life of a Gashead eh?

However having said that we've had more success the last few years than many other clubs will remember for donkeys years. Think of the likes of Oldham, Walsall, Chesterfield, Stockport, Wrexham, Port Vale. You compare us to them and our situation doesn't look so bad. It's all relative I suppose. It just sucks when we've got another club in the city making such enormous strides ahead of us.

For Christs sake I went away to see Rovers there 10 years ago thinking they were the team to beat. Now look at them. Yeovil. Yeovil? All those loans from Tottenham and now they're non league. As for that lot, how much did it cost to yet again screw it up? Millions. I don't really compare us to them anymore, but just laugh at their failures.

I think we will see a more open team next season, smaller squad better quality. I hope so because another season of that dross is unthinkable

With our stadium and financial situation just staying in lg1 is a success... Unless the stadium issue is resolved its lg2 again I think we can stay in league 1 at the Mem with crowds of 7-9 thousand. Getting relegated would be punching below our belt. Mid table is par. Promotion is overachieving. If we get relegated with our income then it’s because either we underachieved with a mid table budget ( see this season, very nearly) or our budget is cut and doesn’t reflect our income ( poor management at board level). Anything can happen , I’ve got no idea what will. Our income is lower than teams with smaller stadiums than us. They have far better facilities that allow them to bring in more money

It just sucks when we've got another club in the city making such enormous strides ahead of us. Most of those teams are playing in small northern towns, with PV and Walsall firmly in the shadow of their bigger neighbours, we're in a big booming town sadly going nowhere under the present owners. Back to the OP if you change the dates and look at the last 10 games we're just above the relegation pack, probably similar to how we ended last season. GC/TW now have a massive summer as they have to find a decent No 10, a creative CM, a replacement for Locks and also a goalie for starters. Once we see who they sign and how they perform in pre-season we'll know what type of season we'll have. As a side note it'll be interesting to see how Luton get on in the Championship as if they survive there's no real reason we couldn't at the Mem, in the short term at least.
