We're going nowhere fast as a club. That's whether we're sad about legends leaving, or stone-faced miserable sods like you. I know which I'd rather be. Legend? Look up the meaning I just did, thanks. "someone very famous and admired, usually because of their ability in a particular area" I'd say Stuart Sinclair fits the bill very nicely as someone who is very admired at the Gas for their ability, attitude and unprecedented commitment to the cause for the team and the fans in his 5 years at the club. What did you think legend meant?

Someone once said "play for the name on the front of the shirt and the fans will remember the name on the back" - Sincs certainly did that.

Just sums this club up when fans are 😢 over Sinclair going he’s well past his sell by date just ain’t good enough but thanks Stuart and good luck to the future. Bath or yate would be a good move for him and he could take parts with him oh and Payne. we can’t afford to be sentimental about players we can’t afford the players we’re keeping. Just sums up this club posts like yours. People paying tribute to a fans favourite. Imagine that.

I'll miss his post match interviews. Win or lose, his calm, thoughtful way of speaking made you feel that everything was going to be ok.
When my daughter and I first started going to matches regularly, 'Gimli' as she called him was her favourite player by far. I phoned the club shop to ask about getting a signed photo for her and they said they'd get back to me. A week later the photo landed on pur doormat and is up on her wall where I'm sure it will remain despite him leaving.
Lastly, to the poster bemoaning our lack of ambition- most of us would agree that now isn't a bad time for him to go, but that doesn't stop us feeling sad because we love him!
Hopefully the Beard will go on and be feared elsewhere. Good luck Stuart! UTG

He will easily find himself a league 2 side and do the business for them no problems.

Great servant to the club and a key part of digging us out of the sh**. He will not be forgotten I am sure. Character in the team is so important and he had it in spades. Still had lots to offer some lucky club

Does everyone on earth have to know who you are, to first qualify as a legend?! What a strange agenda you seem to be carrying.

One of my favourite all time Rovers players. No, he wasn't as gifted as an Astafjevs or a David Williams, but by God he gave everything he had to the shirt and, like DC, I felt he 'got' Rovers. His passion and commitment was obvious and he clearly just loves being a footballer. Great to habe a character like that in this age of automatons.
A true gentleman too. I stand by the tunnel and he always has a word for the fans there, often taking time to come and chat. Apart from some who criticise his ability (fair enough, it's about opinions, even though they're wrong!), you'll never hear a bad word said about him.
As Pirate said, play for the name on the front of the shirt abd they'll always remember the name on the back.
Thanks Stu. It's been an absolute pleasure watching you.

In this age of flash footballers Sincs always seemed like one of us, a lad from the terraces who's done well. Feel the club should honour him in some way i.e. name a bar after of something.
Although the club seems so out of touch with the fans I doubt that's ever going to happen.

Although the club seems so out of touch with the fans I doubt that's ever going to happen. Reading the comments on Facebook it seems he was so appreciated not only for his commitment on the pitch, but also for the time he had for the fans off the pitch. I remember during the conference run in there was a beam back at the Mem and Stu was injured so he came along and watched it with the fans. A true Gas legend, even if there isn’t a statue outside Wembley.

Big part of giving us back our Rovers. Feels like we’re losing our Rovers on and off the field again at the moment.
Absolute club legend. Sorry to see you go beard.

I can’t speak highly enough of the man. What a terrific human he is. This all does feel like the end of an era. Gutted.

One of the most hard working players to wear a Rovers shirt in the forty plus years I have followed this club. Sincs could be relied on to put in a shift and get stuck in, harried players, helped out where ever he could in defence and attack, scored a few important goals for us,one against Gatehead springs to mind. Sad he didn't get the send off he deserved I will be going into town tomorrow to get a best wishes card to send to him , if others on this thread don't mind I may put it from all who have commented to let him know how much he will be missed.
