Well let’s start at your last point, that’s an old dig isn’t it?! Well I was one of the 77 tables at the recent awards night, another good night, well run and raising money for the club.
So onto all this food and all that, you forget the better bars but I am guessing you don’t drink. All this TOM this, TOM that........obviously he works with a board, CEO and FD so I imagine the increases are not just his doing. These increases, I can’t think of more blessed fans in the country with what the Gloucester Road offers them in terms of food and drink before a game. If these costs are too much then don’t eat at the Mem but the queues at the West Stand are massive before and at half time. £5 for a pastie and coffee, is it only me who things that’s the going rate.
Back to Tom’s wage, I assume you have inside knowledge what he is earning per annum. As you know why don’t you tell us, you don’t have to say how you know? At least then we can all judge his wage with you?

l had no idea it cost that much per game. Maybe £7.39 is slightly less steep on a pay per park basis, but for a whole year's season ticket? I wouldn't dream of paying that. Actually the £7.39 is incorrect. At a maximum it's £6.54. With a successful season on the pitch it would even be lower at £5 66. The cost covers the full season so the more matches played the cheaper the price per game.

I always find it bizarre that every time the club does something to increase much-needed revenue it gets criticised. Why is Tom G being criticised for making a good job of what he is paid to do ?
The car park is always rammed. Stick the price up and it will still be rammed. More revenue. What’s to criticise?

I see from a communication i had from the club that the Price of parking your car in the car park has gone up from £130 per season to £170 Per season...... So the cost for a Disabled senior person to watch Rovers now has just DOUBLED still we need the money to fund TG's large salary....... Seems reasonable 23 plus games with a car park space next to the entrance, happy days. Where do l sign, hmm

I won't have much sympathy for the type of blue badge holders I see jumping out of their cars right outside the supermarket and then bomb around doing their shopping. Those genuinely severely disabled have my sympathy if their costs have risen. Comments like this just astounds me. Sorry eric, I like and agree to most, if not all, your comments/opinions but this occasion I cannot disagree more. You do know that there are more invisible disabilities than visible ones right? Quite a few invisible disabilities are very severe too. Just because you can not physically see a disability through their clothes doesn't mean they are not genuinely disabled. There are people who unfortunately abuse the system, which then gives a bad impression of the disabled, especially those with invisible disabilities. And instead of receiving help and sympathy, they receive suspicion and ignorance.
I am sorry if this comes across as aggressive, its not my intention. Its just a close subject to home for me. My wife is disabled. She has a visible disability (only visible if seen naked) so she would fall into your category of 'no sympathy' just because you wouldn't be able to see her disability. She also has many invisible disabilities. She has so many bad days but on the odd rare occasion that she has a good day, a supermarket is somewhere we would go because its easier than online shopping for us.
So the awful crap she goes through 24/7 for weeks on end, to finally manage to actually have a good day where she can actually get out the house for once, to attempt to do something normal, like do a bit of food shopping, you would see her use her blue badge and then you would judge her and jump to the conclusion that she is not "genuinely" disabled and have no sympathy for her situation. Not sure what gives you, or anyone else, the right to judge if someone is genuinely disabled or not, without having a single clue about a persons situation.
Again I am sorry eric if this comes across as an attack on you. I am not trying to do that. I just get watered off when I see things like this, which I hope you would understand as its very close to home for me.

With you 100% Sir, if we did not have a blue badge we could not attend rovers games, Simple The constant increase of the cost to park near the ground effectively doubles the cost to watch rovers for a disabled person

Strange that disabled people get cheaper tickets to the match, the car parking I can understand but unless you're blind I can't see why you would need a cheaper match ticket??? Surely a cheaper rate for the unemployed would make more sense, as they are at a disadvantage when it comes to money.

30% increase by my calculations but I doubt any fan lucky enough to get a car park space is going to get any sympathy if they have to pay more for the luxury of a car park place. So people with mobility issues are lucky to have access to parking are they?. The OP point was that parking you car, disabled pass or not cost more than a senior's season ticket. So it costs more to park my car for a season than it costs me to watch ALL the home games.

Anyone who not disabled and parks in a disabled bay, makes me wonder if they would like the disability as well.
