Harrison at Pompey and Closing in on Move Thursday, 20th Jun 2019 15:04
Blues striker Ellis Harrison has been spotted at Portsmouth’s training ground as the Welshman moves closer to a switch to Town’s League One rivals.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Blues from Bristol Rovers last summer, was targeted by Pompey manager Kenny Jackett when he was still with the Pirates, again on loan in January and once more early in the close season, although it was understood their interest had cooled more recently.
However, the Newport-born frontman was photographed at the Hampshire club’s training ground today. We understand the deal is well progressed but not yet complete.

Sell on fee coming our way? And possibly the remainder of the fee from Ipswich to us if any monies are still outstanding.

He’ll be at the level he deserves to be , a medium to pretty good league 1 striker.

Do we Boo or not? I think we should make comments like "hello sailor" I’m presuming that’s a joke.😉 He scored at Wembley in what was one of our most important games. We give him a great reception of course. And any that don’t well... UTG!

He’ll be at the level he deserves to be , a medium to pretty good league 1 striker. Compared to JCH he is very lower league I feel they’ve both got a lot to prove at league 1 level before they can be considered good league 1 strikers. JCH had a good run of form for a couple of months and Ellis had one decent season where he just about got double figures at that level. Other than that I’m pretty sure neither of them have had great consistency at this level. If they can both hit double figures again next season, stay fit and have good seasons then fair enough. I hope JCH can I feel our survival may well depend on it and even then that might not be enough.

If Ellis can stay fit then he is a very good L1 player - strong, tricky, able to create something from nothing, and a key player defensively at times too. We really missed all that when he left us.

And some people on here on another thread said they wouldn’t want him back, whilst a top 4 team would pay money for him...
Can’t wait to see Brown Lockyer & Harrison play against us next season, f*ck me what a squad we let go
