Anyone else coming in this week then? Doubt it. Cut and paste the same question every week until deadline day. 😕

Imagine if Wael had done this!!
He'd be shot to pieces on here for wasting money flying over there!!!
Wael will be shot to pieces whatever he does. Even if he got us a 100k seater stadium, got us to the Champs League, paid off all our debt, and even managed to make us money out of it all whilst he was at it. If Wael got us a 100k seater stadium he will have earnt the right to post videos of himself with a pair of plastic tits and a pout driving our new signings around Portugal in a Bentley

Most fans of this club have been absolutely desperate to love the bloke from the moment he walked in the door! Sadly he has given us very little reason to do so in his time here so far. Here's hoping that changes sooner rather than later.

Anyone else coming in this week then? Trouble with the “big ticket “ signings is they take longer to negotiate so it’s a double whammy when they fall through...your resources have been spent working on a deal that has not come to fruition which means they haven’t been devoting time working on a deal that might’ve. Thus it’s not only the actual loss of the failing deal but also the opportunity cost of the potential deals it slowed any progress on that it costs you. Supposing we have four players on our wish list and the top target indicates interest but there are a few details to be ironed out. Our team sorts out some of the issues with incentives and relocation, meanwhile target two gets snapped up by a team down the road, top target mentions another couple of things that need to be in place before they’ll sign, we have a look at what we can do, meanwhile target three moves to a team in a division below ours but linking up with a manager they trust. Never mind, two players ideal for the one vacancy you have, have signed for other teams but you are still ideally placed for the gap in your squad to be filled by your number one target anyway. Then they come back to you quoting a stumbling block you cannot fix...could be a family issue or a disagreement on football philosophy etc. But your deal falls through. Your list now just has your fourth option left on it ... and who knows what they’ve been up to with their agent whilst you’ve been looking elsewhere?

Thanks Topper ... Good read that ... I’m none the wiser on who we might be looking at or hopefully bringing in.
I think we might have to make do with a loan striker if the market prices are as crazy as GC is saying.
I do like GC I must say ... the only manager I can remember who seems to have a conversation with himself in every interview.
I think he will go on to big things one day ...

I hope we bring in a few more, but i gotta say i wish folk would get of Tommy Nichol's back, this newly built squad are gonna need our support. it's a new season/new start with lots of changes both on an off th pitch.
Get behind th lads, they might just surprise you.

I like what he says as well and I’m glad he won’t go over the odds for players but we are in need of something up front and some creativity. If we can’t compete with these established and expensive players then perhaps we need to look at the non leagues where players will also, if they prove capable, have a sell on value and make very good business sense. Alternatively we look at loans from the PL or Championship clubs. Blimey, pirate has identified enough younger players who could be suitable. I just hope our recruitment team are aware of these, I’m sure they are. UTG!

I respect her in her role as CEO. However, if she were to say about it, then it would be rude to say no to a lady. 😁

Think you do need to clarify this so there are no misunderstandings.🤓

Have we actually bought anyone? Anssi Jaakola - expiration of contract Mark Little - ditto Josh Hare - ditto Tom Davies - free Jordi Van-Stappershoef - unsure Not a problem if they prove to be astute signings! But it's good to know that with the departures of Leadbitter, Sinclair, J.Clarke, Lines, Lockyer, Partington, Payne, Smith, Slocombe etc there must be dosh around for more recruitment!

You’d have hoped there’s more to come because we haven’t addressed the problems of last season when we had no width, little creativity and were dependent upon JCH to score. No signings to offset those areas. I like what we’ve done so far and am not unhappy but just saying we need to strengthen midfield and strikers. 9 out 5 in so should be enough left to strengthen those areas. Fingers crossed! UTG! ps. It may be that we don’t see anyone signed to provide width because GC keeps midfield tight and we go with what we’ve got for width with Rodman and our full backs pressing forward. But creativity we need.

So far so good in my eyes. Defence looks a whole level better than what they've replaced, keepers included. Ogogo I think seems underrated from his performances, him and JCH late comers, few more signings in the middle and up front and I might start feeling optimistic about the season

Jorge Grant to Lincoln could be a good signing if they get the best out of him.
