Shame, a great club with a great history.... And....tin hat on time but.. A better bet for an investor than us. Big city, nice ground already. Grand history - a few million and the only way is up for them.

I must have dreamt that we were bought out by rich Arabs?

He had a go but failed but he kept us alive and kicking. Without wanting to go over the same ground again I think that's debatable considering he took out a payday loan for the club. Payday loan or not without NH we would’ve went under ?

Would they be allowed to join the National League in those circumstances? Istr that the National League are very choosy about letting clubs join the league without being on a good, or at least stable, financial footing. I may be wrong, I’m sure someone will know. They might have to go lower, Northern Premier League or equivalent. Whichever it is it sounds very bad. I have real sympathy for them, or any club, because there for the grace of god go us! UTG!

Old ground I know, but remember when it was doom & gloom on here and the forecast was that we were days away from Administration......over a 2m quid debt. What is the debt now? Just saying. Debt is good when you are owned by "credible business men"

All these people queuing up to buy Bolton, istm NC would be a much more desirable purchase. You get the oldest team in the world, decent fanbase (not as proper as Tranmere, of course), decent stadium, and it's not hemorrhaging money like Bolton (it's losing some but who isn't?). It only takes a few year to right a ship like that, whereas the fallen prem teams seem to take a lot longer to sort out. Agree. Shame if someone can't take them on and steady the ship. But for pedant corner... Not the oldest team in the world [they were the oldest club still in the EFL]. P.S. Also the OP doesn't need to use an apostrophe in Notts. 🧐

I'm upset for the rank and file fans. But for people of a certain age (i.e. mine! 😂) they were horrible bruisers and then cheats.

Haha Big city and um....that's where the comparison ends. We are currently in a better place than them, but anyone being courted by our owners would surely see Notts as a better investment.

Pretty sure the Club would have to provide decent documentation to prove they could last the season. When Orient were in limbo having been relegated out the league and were still owned by Bechetti - fans were worried they might not be allowed in the National League (or maybe even National League South). Non-league football is run by the FA. Looks like they do a better job of governance than the EFL. That isn't difficult.

If it wasn’t for people like Higgs and the Dunfords we could have folded and if Higgs wouldn’t of took over when he did who else would’ve. when Higgs sold out to the present owners he thought it was for the best interests for BRFC. By the way I think we are fcuked under these owners.

Notts County are just another club that have fallen on hard times. I have little doubt that with a little investment they will soon go sailing past us, giving it the big un from the decks of the good ship success, laughing at the state of our rudderless vessel with torn and ragged sails.
