Portsmouth - around 19 min into video describes where money gets apportioned. Found this interesting, also other topics. Would be good to know if Rovers have a “sustainable” policy

I suppose if you're going to stick a proportion of a transfer fee into the playing budget over the course of three years, it then doesn't really matter (interest notwithstanding) if it is paid to you in installments, over the course of that time.

Portsmouth have a business plan and are prepared to discuss parts of it in public, whereas our owners keep their plan, if there is a plan, mostly to themselves. It does not produce good relations with the Supporters. The one area where Portsmouth are similar to BRFC is the release of information such as Planning applications and when it is prudent to do so - so it is.

The only plan we seem to have has been under the guise of "Evolution not revolution". Trouble with Evolution is there is no time limit on it and it can cover a multitude of sins - you could say we have been evolving since 1883! In an ideal world supporters buy into a plan but how can you buy into something you know nothing about? The only real noticeable evolution has been in backroom staff where we now seem to see a lot of people sharing what used to be done by very few and in tents instead of bricks and mortar! I sometimes wonder whether I am following my beloved football club or Chipperfields Circus. More and more that comes out of the club tells me it is the latter.

If we were being run without a plan or like a circus we would have gone under by now.
I'm Dam tired of the constant knocking of everything to do with Rovers.
If it's all that sh**, take a break from it. Spend some time with your family, go for a walk. Enjoy life.

So how many of the coaches actually work in tents?

Do they not deserve to be knocked - continually raising the expectation levels and not delivering - new stadium - new training ground - marquee signings - then on the flip side - more tents - office in London - unaffordable Chairman & CEO - non communication - little or no engagement from the top with the supporters - they are there to be shot at IMO.

I’m not going to knock that as it Rovers I’ve turned to when I’ve had bereavements, split ups and more. I don’t subscribe to everything being 💩 but I do have concerns for the long term, with losses going up by the year.

But to be fair BR, nothing they do is right and they will always be in the firing line from people who think they can do better or know better with track records of success that don’t amount to much and with no financial clout either. It’s very easy to run someone else’s business. People know I have criticised them for the last 18 months in all areas, and it’s a mess, or has been a total mess until Martyn Starnes came in. Thankfully the buffoon that is Hamer has finally had his wings clipped and been removed from running the club and some of the others can start going their jobs properly. I believe we will see even more of an improvement going forward from this season onwards.

Nice that you have some confidence in Starnes, but how is he going to build us a stadium and a training facility and the other things that you, me and many others thought Wael and co were no longer going to achieve?

This summer's transfer dealings so far doesn't support that view, all he seems to be doing is cutting the 1st team budget whilst continuing to spend a fortune on Academy coaches etc.

Because constant criticism isn’t doing any favours is it. Don’t get me wrong I still think it’s a bit of a shambles and how it got to that point also is quite frankly, beyond comprehension. However I’ve decided to be a little more supportive and do some things to help the club rather be constantly negative. There are enough in the supporters club getting fed lies via Hamer and Masters to cause enough aggro without the rest of the fan base joining in. I don’t think the current set up will deliver the stadium and training ground alone or rather not without outside investment and guidance.

Near on 30 professional first team squad members and most of them not good enough to grace L1. That’s far too high, it was one of the highest in the league. About 23 should be the target and then you have options in each transfer window. I think GCs recruitment has been solid. Most signings have been an upgrade on departures and some on par. I think we also will have a few more ins and outs before the window is out.
