Yeah Bolton already 18 points from safety. I think they'll start picking up points once their squad gets up to full speed and gels but will be too little too late.

A lot of you put Wycombe to go down Fair play to Gareth Ainsworth, working wonders with a small budget. Always been someone I’ve admired. Surprised no other club has taken a chance with him, although is his budget that small this season, as I thought they had been taken over by an American company and made some decent signings in the summer. I guess our present injury situation shows the problems if you only have a small squad.

Since this post started Wycombe had a large financial input from the Americans who were going to take over Yeovil before they pulled out. This enabled them to buy Wheeler and Onyemdimne from the Championship and a couple of loans. They’ve always been hard to beat under Ainsworth now they have some quality as well. Long way to go yet. UTG!

Southend in the final relegation spot are already 5 points off of safety. That’s a long way for a side that can’t buy a goal let alone a win.

Winder what those that thought we didn’t have enough quality in the team and would go down under GCs tactics think now - stay up / make play offs ?

Winder what those that thought we didn’t have enough quality in the team and would go down under GCs tactics think now - stay up / make play offs ? I’ll hold my hands up. I had us down for relegation but as it stands now I’ll revise my prediction and say I don’t think we’ll go down but I still think things are being held together by copious amounts of sticky tape and we will, inevitably, be found out. We are so reliant on JCH and for a selling club like us that’s unsustainable, for a start. I’m also interested in some statistics about the success rate of sides that play kick and rush like we do. Given the way it goes in football, the more games you win the more homework your opponents will do on stopping you so I would have thought that when teams start to take us seriously we will need a lot more strings to our bow than hitting the channels or looking for the big lad. If that sort of strategy was a good long term bet then all the big clubs would be doing it but football seems to have moved on. So ultimately it will still take a lot of work for me to be convinced that Cogs is a good long term manager for Rovers. I don’t see his football ‘philosophy’ as having any real merit for anyone with ambition to be in the play off spots in league one. Happy to be proven wrong by him, though.

I did agreed at the start of the season but not now having seen how we have developed so far. We have a GK as good as any in L1...A very solid (better than last season which was good) defensive unit.We now have good width with our wingbacks, and the midfield with Ogogo,Upson and Secs are coming together so well. And we have one of the best and most in form goalscorers in L1. We look like we have goals from other areas of our side as well. You can see the passion and rapport that they have with each other as well.I can tell that this group is going to give us a very good season. GC win record since taking over would have us in the playoff hunt, and his signings so far have been top notch. If we are in a decent position come January and we are able to get extra bodys in the you never know.. If clubs like Yeovil,Brentford, Burton and Luton last season can gain promotion into championship with pretty much the same resouces/standard of ground and crowds as us, then why cant get do it as well?

GC for manager of the month - that would shock a few as Upson has this season lol
