Jaakola and Ollie Clarke for me. I can see Clarke stepping up to the captaincy and being more consistent, in Jaakola I think we’ve got a good keeper for this level. Interesting comment about Jaakola, I thought he was a bit out of his depth yesterday, rarely came out for anything and distribution generally poor. Bit early to form an opinion to be fair but based on seeing him yesterday and Jordi at Yate I think Jordi looks more likely to be no. 1. Didn’t think he looked too bad actually but would agree about his distribution. Haven’t had a chance to see Jordi yet but given the fact he’s younger and has no previous experience of playing in this country, I think Jaakola will start but we’ll see.

I reckon that this could be the year with Nichols comes good, also I think Kilgour could break through and play regularly. Surprise player: It’s definitely stupid to judge off one pre-season game, but I was impressed by Smith yesterday, held the ball up well, constant pressure on the opponents backline and was very quick. Didn’t have a shot tho and when running with the ball looked lightweight. Someone says that every year

I think he’ll turn out to be a good signing. Unspectacular but consistently do a job.

I absolutely think Rodman is about to have his standout season with us. Had a hard time last season but I know he's a proper player so I'm excited to see what he brings.
Tom Nichols will bag a few goals given our new focus on delivery from wide wingback play. I hope it all goes to plan in League One as it's a hard system to play especially with injury prone wingbacks, but TN will be around 10 goals this season if so.
Little looks to be a right threat, big fan of seeing what he can do.
Craig HAS to have a good season as our only properly experienced centre back. Needs to not only play well but also mentor the others. Big role to fill.

Which player in our current squad do you think is going to shine this season? Take That. It’s got to be Tommy Nichols, I know we all keep saying it but I think he will get into double figures this year. 🙏

I have a good feeling about Ogogo as a solid midfield presence this season. Likely won't set the world alight or anything, being that he plays on holding and supportive roles, but consistency is key for any team who dreams of victories.
