If we end up staying at the Mem does anyone know how much would be available in terms of grants to develop the stadium?
I wonder how much it would cost to completely rebuild the Thatchers End with a tall, steep stand with the bars remaining underneath, extend the West Stand and Terrace the complete length of the pitch, extend (or rebuild) the East Stand and Terrace the complete length of the pitch and replace the South Stand with a Safe Standing Stand to the same size as the current tent?

I can’t see our current owners making any significant changes to the Mem. The return on investment does not appear to be there. I guess when new owners eventually arrive there is an outside chance they could consider this but they would need some serious funding.

I agree but just wondered what would be available from the governing bodies as I can’t remember us ever using grants in the past like others have so guessing something must be available? I’ve no knowledge of comparative stadium costs in respect of new build versus existing developments and just wondered out loud what the cost may be?

Are you aware HG is fishing again, but this time he's just dangling a number out there on the end of his well used ITK rod?! Is this true Henbury Gas? Unfortunately, dear old Henbury gas has been fishing for bites on these here shores since the beginning of time. He likes to pretend he’s in the know , he literally knows bugger all, like the majority of us. Gashead81 is a much more credible source.

Beware the fishermen who's casting out his line into a dried up riverbed, but don't try to tell him because he won't believe you.

Tarting up the Mem to a decent state with one new and two extended stands would be so much cheaper than a new stadium. It's in a great location, becoming more hipster by the minute, and it would be a very attractive venue for events, corporate nonsense, entertainment and all the rest.

Won’t happen otherwise!

The entire ground needs knocking down. Only nice is the pitch and a lot of the time we don't use that.

If it was such a good proposition then it would be underway, but they have ruled out doing up the Mem.

Only was I see the club ever moving forward is by moving location.
Once again it's time for the club to be a bit more vocal about what it is going on.
