Is it too much to ask for our official matchday programme to spell his name right? On both the teams page and the player sponsors page he is listed as Jaankkola. They obviously can spell his name right as the first team fixtures & results page and the match action pages have Jaakkola. I think it is poor form to spell it incorrectly four programmes in a row.
Also, whilst I’m having a gripe at the programme, can’t the academy fixtures that have already happened show the result rather than the kick off time? Is it useful to know that they kicked off at 11am three weeks ago?

Thought this was going to be a thread commending his steady and reliable performances over the last couple of weeks. My mistake.

Nope, he’s improved after a rocky start but he’s not earned steady and reliable yet.

Bonhans letting them in for fun at Gillingham ( 8 in 5 + 4 pens) bet he misses a proper defence in front of him

I don’t think they are pointless at all. Fair enough. I just think what's the point? What does it tell you? What are you going to do with it after? Each to their own, just think they are and will die out.

Hard to take any notice whatsoever of Rovers fans on here as regards Goalkeepers as it is the fans who make or break a goalkeeper. Lost count on the number of keepers who have been subject to a lot of stick and yet go on to good careers with other clubs.

Each to their own, just think they are and will die out. Exclusive interviews with players and staff, interesting articles about the clubs past, important information for those who perhaps aren’t tech savvy and can’t access it online. It might not be for everyone but I enjoy leafing through it on a match day.

We keep hearing how professional we’ve become but this proves we’re still shoddy. The problem is that in the past we’d have made that mistake once and the programme editor would have put it right before the next issue was published. The current editor has let this error run for four successive matches which shows a lack of care about their product. (Or a lack of care about the Rovers).

In the pre-internet era, programmes were a great source of information and something to remember the match by.
Nowadays, in my opinion, they are a bit pointless unless you really like collecting things. Which is fine, if you do. But not for me any more apart from really special occasions like a Wembley playoff final.

Bought a prog v Cheltenham in the cup and if you read the Loan Rangers section the programme editors did a cut and paste job on Butland and Keogh and are wrong. It’s just poor imo. I’m all for being economical and cutting costs etc but not at th expense of getting things wrong. UTG!
