As a football supporter, you love to see a local lad rise through the youth academy and burst onto the first team scene. That's just what self-confessed Gashead Alfie Kilgour has done this season, impressing fans with his combative performances at the heart of the Rovers back line. Harley had the pleasure of speaking with Alfie one-on-one in an exclusive interview, as they discuss his journey from the youth team to the first team. They look back at the lows: the horrendous injury he suffered when on the brink of breaking into the first team. And the highs: that memorable performance at Plymouth away on his debut. From concerns about whether he was good enough when he first became a scholar, to dreaming of one day taking the captaincy, learn all about the makings of Alfie Kilgour.

Really good interview mate.... Nothing contrived about that, good questions, interesting answers, really engaging.... Well done to yourself for arranging this and a big well done to Alfie for taking the time to chat.... Good work

Enjoyed that. What a humble young man Alfie is!
I really feel like hes got the drive and ability to have a very good career, lets hope we see a lot of it at Rovers!

A great listen, thanks for that. Seems a lovely fella with a good attitude, grounded and down to earth. Good luck with everything Alfie. Keep up the good work and congratulations on the new contract. A future Rovers captain.
Alfie Kilgour...he's one of our own!

Alfie comes across as a very grounded, level headed young man. Sure to go on and have a very decent career, hopefully with us and one day sporting the armband.
Another excellent Gascast episode. well done all.

Love the passion. Hope he can progress with us and not feel the need to move on to bigger clubs to match his ambition, like Tom Lockyer had to do. That said, I agree he has more potential.
