Anyone expecting any activity today?
Benno & Mayo Out and 1 in?
With us playing 3 the back, I'd be surprised if Rollin Menayese leaves as he has a job to do in cover with the other 3.
Also, I'd still argue that Kyle Bennett is unlikely to go out now, but his first team opportunities are more limited with our current preferred system. I think a January move may be more likely.
Possibly loan moves for the fringe players; Hargreaves, Widdrington, Hoole etc. possibly Tomlinson, although I wouldn't mind seeing him given an opportunity based on pre-season performances.

Another one in at Bolton. Stoke City midfielder Thibaud Verlinden is having a medical there. Will be a good signing for them and one I'd have here.

Was told this morning they owners have cut £1m from this years budget......... Told by who though, as that figure has been mentioned a few times on here with no real proof it's correct. If the average Div 1 wage is £100K then that means we're losing the equivalent of 10 players, which sounds c0bblers to me. If we don't sign anymore players you do wonder why we now have four 1st team FB's in the squad but no back up CB's or wingers. 5 'full backs'; Hare, Little, Leahy, THD, Kelly, but open to interpretation whether the term full back is correct.
Bennett and Rodman (+ Sercombe?) are our wingers and both are getting limited game time under the current pattern.
Menayese is our back up Centre Back.
I would have thought part of the budget trimming was going to happen via off the pitch staff.

This whole Bolton thing is really making my water boil now! Stuffed 5 - 0 at the weekend again (by Gillingham), wait until we play them they will have a decent side by then. The whole thing is bollocks really, teams that have already played them are laughing their tits off! Signings for us today? Unfortunately I just can’t see it but I hope I’m proved wrong.

Totally agree ... they will sign decent players now and everything that’s gone before will just be a farce. It’s a total disgrace and the League if they had any morals should be appalled with the way they have handled this crap !

I just hope their new owners are able to pay the club's creditors as well as splurging out on new players. It makes a complete mockery of the situation otherwise.
I also hope the EFL can get a move on with the punishments for failing to fulfil their fixtures against Brentford and Doncaster. There is little recent precedent for this, but there should be a footballing penalty applied - a fine would be useless.
To be fair, they've picked up a really good manager in Keith Hill.

Could really do with another centre back, attacking midfielder and a winger. Do you know if Scales signed for someone else??? If not, can see us going for him still. A take it or leave it offer. Don't think we will sign a winger and a centre midfielder, although we could do with both. Be nice to see one of them come in though.

And just watch the end of the season when perhaps goal difference will determine the last spot and the goals scored against Bolton in August will be the deciding factor. Don’t think EFL will change their minds about Bury but with all the news about starting next season in League 2 and pressure from MPs and others nothing is certain except the EFLs uncertainty about anything. UTG!

So all the talk of Fleetwood and Portsmouth being after him, was just paper talk then. Or they all agreed they wanted too much for an unproven player.

Yes, their 5-0 thrashing by Dundalk. UCD really struggling with the step up in quality this year and have conceded 70 goals in 30 games with a minus 49 goal difference.
