All about opinions. Last week's one was emphasised by the pathetic dive from the same player not long after he'd "earned" the penalty. To me yesterday's one was a defender in completely the wrong position and there's definite contact. Had it been turned down I don't think many would have been too happy! Wouldn't have even been discussed if not given. I would be fuming if that was given against us though! Why, because you don't think it was a penalty? For me it's definitely a penalty, and I would have brought it up without a doubt so you can't really say that. If it was the other way around, I'd say the striker was looking for it & our defenders stupidly gave it to him. Like others have said, it's a foul outside the box and actually I applaud the referee for giving it. Too many times do we see "it's a freekick but not a penalty" - why? Isn't the rule whether its a foul in the box? Nichols has the ball & is in possession, he backs into the defender as is his right. The defender accidentally took him out but ultimately that's his problem, he should have either moved or got the ball. However, instead he knocked Nichols over without touching the ball. Thats a foul and therefore a penalty.

Blimey, makes the average tortured Gashead look like an optimistic puppy on a day trip to Brean. Sounds like they've been through hell for so long, they won't let themselves enjoy their time in League 1 coz they're so terrified it will end soon.

If we're going to give penalties for every little bit of contact in the box them we might as well as just play a penalty shoot out every game.

This is the last highlights video I will be posting. Vimeo, after 4 or 5 years, have now informed me that my account violates their terms by storing clips I do not own. Oh well, it was good while it lasted

You talk like your opinion is fact, which i don’t know why I’m surprised any more though. Fact is, the referee gave a penalty. But nice to see you’re one of those who believe you can have a free kick but not a penalty for the same foul. Makes sense 😂

Reading that Lincoln account have to agree with the responses. Blimey they’ve been in League 1 for eight matches and they have a sense of entitlement that teams will just roll over for them already. Strangely, read the rest of the report and it contradicts the idea of losing to a team “like Bristol Rovers.” They even said following the goal we “were excellent” so perhaps not so bad after all. Glad to hear that following our goal GC changed tactics a bit. After what I said last week after the Accrington match about GC not changing much that’s good to hear. And tbh what do they expect, the Cowleys to remain with them for ever and a day? Ask Matt Taylor, Billy B, Tom L, even DC and ask Braintree United and Concorde. This is League 1 and good players and managers move on. Enjoy the ride whilst you can, it doesn’t last for ever. Well done GC and the team for puncturing their balloon and injecting some League 1- realism into their thinking. UTG!

Well done GC and the team for puncturing their balloon and injecting some League 1- realism into their thinking. UTG! The way we managed the game was literally perfect. We actually looked more likely to go 2-0 than 1-1 IMO. The way we (especially JCH) held up the ball and drew fouls out was hilarious, Lincoln showed real naivity with fouling and allowing us to slow the game down & ultimately dictate its pace. It was so nice that for once we could do it to someone else. GC has a lot to learn, no doubt - but you can probably bank (at risk of jinxing it) that we wouldn't go down with him - the guy knows how to frustrate teams (and our own fans) if we need to and grind out the points slowly - he proved that last season. Let's see where we are in the table after 10 games, but so far it looks like GC is pushing us on for a good mid table finish - which I'd be delighted with personally.

"I don't think we would expect to be beaten by a side like Bristol Rovers" f**k off you're bloody Lincoln City not Barcelona. I like nothing more than supporters of other sides who we've just beaten saying things like this.
Especially when they contradict themselves by saying we could have won 2-0 later in the report.
The longer we slip under the radar the better IMO
