Who needs the OTIB to put our club down when gaschat can do the job? Game set and match, I knew I would get this Banned word to bite and make an irrational, emotional and wrong post eventually ššš» Find one post on mine on this thread where I knock Bristol Rovers Football Club, a current player and Coughlan the manager? I am a season ticket holder of 23 years, I do a 200 mile round trip to every home game and go to 75% of our away games as well. I support a club formed in 1883 so I defend it and this individual never showed this club any honour in media interviews and his off the record interview is a DISGRACE. You support Darrell Clarke FC but donāt you ever ever question my support for this club, you have proven you are a total sh**ter with that comment above. Iāve also played for the Forum football side raising money for charity, I love this club and donāt ever question me on it again. Your missing my point. Which is why would any rovers fan slag off a rare period of success by our club? It makes no sense and is the sort of stuff you could find on the otib during the 2 promotions and the high finish in league one. If you love the club so much stop spreading tacky rumours from about your alleged conversations with 4 ex players.

I guess you have never made any comments, in the heat of the moment then regretted them then Paul. As a fanbase we have been pretty expressive, on either of the forums, to get some honesty and updates and we got that from DC. I would bet that he regrets a fair few of his comments but what I saw was a guy who had been promised new stadium, training ground and he turned down a higher paid and higher profile job to stay with us and see real progress only to see all of those projects turn to š© and I would imagine it would frustrate any of us. The point which he got wrong was in venting his frustrations about that. I can understand his frustration. What I donāt understand is the real venom in your posts. It seems you are doing exactly the same as DC did, you wonāt let go and let be. There are a good few who travel much further than yourself so that is a moot point. There are others who canāt go and for varying reasons but they still love the club. Facts are just that and DC did exactly what he said he wanted to do, to get us back to league 1 & he did that and I will look upon his tenure with fondness. You donāt often get days like we did v Dagenham. I think that, all things considered, his time as manager should be seen as a great success as life is just too short to be angry and vent your spleen, at a man who is no longer with us. Excellent post Thank you very much. Just try to say it with having some experience of doing and saying things in the heat of the moment and the regretting them later. If only some posters would hold their own selves up to the same scrutiny as they do others.

Please don't put me in the camp of those who take pleasure in the downfall of DC. I try to give a balanced assessment of his record at Rovers. Over the period of his managership he achieved great success playing attractive football with a group of players who were fully committed to him and the fans. Sadly, it went wrong at the end of his tenure and the final months of his managerial reign were not happy. If he ever returns to Rovers as a visiting manager he will get a big cheer from me. It would be churlish to do anything else. I'm not sure I would have the same generosity of spirit towards some recent ex-players upon their return to the Mem.... UTG I just think in our long history we have had a tiny amount of success so why put down someone who got us 2 out of our 6 promotions? Anyone critical of his last year at the club has solid facts to back up the mistakes he made,it just irks me when people play down or rubbish what he achieved before that. And if you read all of my posts on this thread, I mean actually READ them, you will see that I have consistently congratulated and thanked DC for the 2 promotions. I was also prepared to give him time to sort things out, but it became abundantly clear that he was sinking in a swamp and morass of his own making and it was best for all concerned that he left...The right Royal f### - up he's making of Walsall reinforces the decision. How you can rant and rail against that is anyone's guess.

He will be back. Like a nuns knickers, always on š Very poor behaviour to discuss a PM on the open forum. These things are private for various reasons, and should be kept that way. As you say, he'll be back. I agree but Paul is passive aggressive in his posts. He mentions that I wrote about someone but then didnāt give detail that it was in context about slagging off DC and not a personal thing in that it had absolutely nothing to do with any perceived fall out. In honesty it made me laugh as, if that was his best parting shot then itās very poor. Itās typical of his posting in trying to put the proverbial cat amongst the pigeons but then leaves, in the knowledge that I canāt ask/tell him to post it publicly, so that others can see the context. Being totally open with you, Paul reminds me of me, when I first started posting on the old but great official forum. I would fixate on things/people/players and my biggest gripe, NH. I would keep bringing them up, use questionable information and vent my spleen. As most of the longer forum users will know, I was full of drama and would not let go if I perceived someone of doing wrong. Everything changed for me with this a cursed disease and anger management to stop me making things much worse. I was so angry that it seemed I was picked out to have such a rare and incurable condition. Anyway, before I get into an essay, Paul has been using this or other fora much longer than I and I would have hoped he was able to post without the drama, using of names to give him perceived kudos and the incessant attacks on people that he patently doesnāt like. I find it difficult to deal with people who admit to posting because he enjoys winding certain people up. Iām sure he will be reading this. If he does then I say post what I wrote as I didnāt say it was secret. I have no problem with it but he wouldnāt as it would give the full context and not have the same effect, in making people believe I wrote something that attacked another poster instead of questioning, which is what it was. It totally fits the bill for a passive aggressive I genuinely hope it doesnāt take him a life changing disease to change, as it did me. Anyway, here is hoping for a convincing win for England rugby tomorrow and an away win for our boys. UTG.

Excellent post KP . š UtgĀ Thank you kind sir. We all make mistakes and many of us regret them. It would be a nicer world if we all were prepared to let some things be and not keep dragging up the past without acknowledging the good that DC brought to us The Daggers game is probably the number one moment I have had in supporting the Rovers. How I wish we had used that amazing forward momentum instead of letting is pass

Darrell Clarkeās Walsall side 1-0 down to Darlington in the FA Cup. Not like a DC team to lose at home to non league opponents in the cup is it?
