Must have Been young Swansea fans then. I expect many on here remember going to the Vetch ~ not very friendly in the early 90's ~ was, anyone else on here in the pub when the Swansea fans were outside and put the windows through ? The police dog's were not too friendly either as I recall

Pretty lively when they visited twerton sometime in the 90s,after some serious baiting from the poplar side, they tried forcing the gates for a pitch invasion, plod keeping them back just if I recall, happy days.

Next thing a load of Swansea fans came down the road and started attacking the place. Thought we were going to get a right kicking. In the end a small group of Rovers fans came out and chased them off.

The police dog's were not too friendly either as I recall I went to Swansea during our promotion season (0-0, Holloway missed a penalty) in full Rovers colours, ended up in a home section by mistake (actually directed by stewards to the family enclosure, but came out amongst Swansea fans at the end). Didn't witness any bother.

Clearly we missed it thankfully.

. . . Everybody hates the sh**? I was out with my little girl in Millennium Square earlier today and there were lots of Swansea about, having a drink in the sunshine. I spoke to a fair few and to a man they all shook my hand when I said I was Rovers - they also all said they’d come to the Mem for the last friendly with us and had (quote) “a f**king brilliant laugh”. And again, to a man, said “I f**king hate Bristol City, mind”. 3 of them even walked off singing Goodnight Irene lol I see the inbred sister shagging Red trolls are taking the water out of you and your girl over on One Twat in Bristol... I wonder how the would feel if they had any idea what your job is and how bad you could make their w**king life

I expect they probably can’t figure out the difference between “daughter” and “girlfriend” . . .
