Do you think having no pay at the gate turnstiles has put people off coming to matches, I know several season ticket holders like myself who have not attended cup games, because of having the inconvenience of having to go through the bother
of buying a ticket to enter.

You can always order on line and print ticket at home.

Not all supporters are computer literate, Rovers have many supporters from the older generation, At a time when our gates are falling it good to make it easier for supporters to attend rather than making it more difficult.

No I feel the lack of any good news regarding the new ground and general hope of a bright future has put a lot of older gas off,if I'm honest I pick and choose,£30 a game is a lot of cash over a season and sometimes I've better value for money spending it elsewhere,or not at all.utg

I think the roll out of pre bought tickets which is common practice these days is basically to reduce turnstile queues isn't it, you can still purchase tickets on the day if its pay on the day. OK, you have one extra task to perform but you should find it actually doesn't take any longer....

With the scan from your phone option it’s now easier than ever to buy tickets, so no.

Got to move with the times I'm afraid, what other entertainment venues hosting 6,000+ people take cash on the door?
inb4 debate we've had a million times

It has put me off definitely, I tried doing it on line and printing my own tickets off but it tried to charge me extra so that put me off as Well, unless I did it all wrong I don't know I'm rubbish with stuff like this.

Need to have a community day game sell the ground out give away free tickets etc, close half the car park for a game and out some entertainment on like bands kids activities etc and gamble on some more people getting hooked and coming again. Quite a few teams do this.

Pure laziness would be one conclusion I’d arrive at, fairly early.

Doubt it makes any difference.
It's just as much of an inconvenience having to remember you need to get some cash out, if they introduced a pay turnstile.
It's just the difference in the generations, without meaning to sound like a w**ker.

Absolutely "yes", a walk up and pay on the gate option for a small club like BRFC is a must. We have already lost over 3500 on the gate, which the club needs to encourage back asap; apart from winning a few more games at home, and playing with more attacking flare, surely a return to pay on the would also make the match day experience a lot better.

But they haven't stopped ticket sales on a matchday. People making late decisions to attend can still do so. To blame that for the smaller crowds is odd.

It’s not hard. You can pay on the day, just cant pay at the gate. It’s just a extra few mins. People travel 100s of miles for a home game. If people find it difficult to do something so simple then are they really that interested in going, or just an excuse to not bother.
However I don’t think it’s a reason, it certainly shouldn’t be anyway.

We still do pay on the day in most matches, I think Oxford was the only game of far we haven’t and that’s because of trouble in the past and that would have been the case anyway. The distance between the match day ticket office and the furthest home turnstile can’t be more than 100 yards. Maybe some have been put off but I think it’s a crap excuse to be honest.

Queuing up at the match day office takes only a few minutes sometimes seconds if you don’t leave it until right before kick off. If there are 20+ people in the queue... it takes a good 5-10 minutes to get to the front of the queue... and then bizarrely (even when you have the right cash), about 2 minutes to get served. Why staff have to enter about a dozen clicks into the system to generate a ticket for the Blackthorn Terrace (that also takes time to print) is a bit beyond me. Cash window, pre-printed tickets would appear to be a sensible solution.

Last Tuesday you could have paid a tenner to watch it on ifollow, compared to travelling and queuing twice people take the easy option.

Just remember generations change and we all get old and some of us will also be lost in the future with technology.
