He's not finished, he's only 29. Is he nay Scottish? I thought he was Scottish. I suppose after 10 whiskeys Anssi Jaakkola could be easily mistaken for Angus Jamieson.

He's 32 and third/second choice keeper for Finland. He will miss our next game v MK Dons on 12th October due to call up and, unless the game is off due to their international call ups, he will also miss the game v Sunderland on Nov 16th.

Looking at Bonhams display yesterday against oxford looking like another good bit of business, not being rude never heard of Anssi before but improving every game, more commanding now, at a good age so another well done to GC.

Another very good signing by the Boss alongside JCH, Mark Little, Josh Hare, Davies, Ogogo, Tyler Smith on loan ...
AJ is better than Bonham and I think Tyler is an improvement on Jakubiak ...All good.
Just a shame we lose him for vital games in this ridiculous international nonsense.

Yep GCs recruitment has been faultless so far imho that’s down to him and TW working closely together. Think they’ve gone down the analytics rout with their signings. Take leahy for example stats made him stand out in a poor Walsall side and was worth a punt like hare also

Totally agree with the OP. Another thing I like about this guy is that during the pre-match warm up drills he works with both left and right feet on passing. We have needed this kind of keeper for quite some time. This gave me a well needed giggle as my father used to say that any professional player had no right to play if he didn’t have the ability to use both feet. To hear the GK is doing it is good news.

Anssi got a nice shoutout on this week's Not The Top 20 podcast too - the chaps called him "arguably the best keeper in L1" and probably difficult to disagree with that assessment!
