This guy is growing into being a star performer all on his own with each game that goes by. The improvement from the opening day at Blackpool is fantastic.
Today he made some good saves, that swerving dipping volley from the Rotherham 23 and then Ladapo’s fizzing shot across the goal in the second half being the stand out ones.
What he has really improved upon though is his positioning and the command of his area in taking crosses, admittedly the one he nicked off big tones head could’ve been embarrassing but that was his only “mistake” I could think of all game.
Being critical he just needs to make an improvement in the type of distribution he supplies.
Oh and when he legged it out to punch the ball today, he took the ball first and then the man!
Keep it up big man, you are becoming and excellent keeper for this level, and you are actually ours!!

Totally agree with the OP. Another thing I like about this guy is that during the pre-match warm up drills he works with both left and right feet on passing. We have needed this kind of keeper for quite some time.

Annoyingly, I assume he'll be called up again by Norway this week and so miss our next league match.

He's more competent in the box, therefore his Finnishing is better than Nichols..

The acquisition of Adrian Tucker can’t be underplayed either, Naylor was here a long time and I’m sure he’s a decent bloke but he was struggling to cross the ball in the warm ups so can’t imagine he was all that agile in training either.
Cogs says Annsi will be the best keeper in the league and I don’t think he’s far wrong

Since I've been watching Rovers we have (almost) always had a good keeper and a good striker such as Kite/Randall, Carter then Martyn/Penrice, Parkin/Stewart.
Any good team needs a good spine, seems with the midfield pairing coming good we may have one.

I think Annsi is fast establishing himself as an excellent L1 keeper. The Dutch chap didn't look too shabby on Tuesday either.
Once again a decent bit of recruiting by GC and his team. They seem to be getting most things right. If he were to be given the funds to sign a couple of 'marquee' signings you would, at the moment, have to think very hard who to drop without damaging the dynamic of this team.
Early days, but GC seems to be achieving steady, incremental improvements. Look at the dire position when he took over.
Who knows what he could achieve given another 12 months?

Could become a legend if he continues to improve at the present rate, was doubtful at first with his obsession for punching anything in the air ,player or ball!, but now he has settled down looks to have bright future, and so do we!!

I'm trying to think when was the last permanent keeper we had who was as good?
yes Mildenhall was good in non league and league two, but was maybe past it a little by the time we got back to league one.

Must have been Phillips before Mildenhall? I can't see the advantage of a loan goalie, as if he's any good he's gone the next season. Although with Smith now at Yeovil and Slocombe at Notts C our last two permanents weren't great.
