What was that all about the other week making you take your hats off. My thoughts were it was for cctv or something along them lines. Very strange that 1. They were checking for snakes! And the missed the biggest 1 sliver in.

I hope he doesn’t get in but the dopey stewards will probably wave him straight through with a kilo metal object in his hand, even though they felt the need to frisk home fans and even check under their hats at the Oxford home game. if he is allowed in they should at the very least surgically remove his donger What was that all about the other week making you take your hats off. My thoughts were it was for cctv or something along them lines. Very strange that 1. The steward said there were suggestions on social media of people smuggling razor blades in the inside rim of their caps so everyone was being checked. Oddly they didn’t check all my pockets !!

Let them have as many as possible I say Why? We got ourselves into a decent position in the league, why give an advantage to the away side by giving them more tickets. I know your thinking of more revenue but it will be offset by increased stewarding & policing .

How about we give them a load of deck chairs outside the ground and charge them for the privilege.

We had over 7000 last game and with the two week break we’ll gave over 7k again v MK I would have thought. There’s clearly a post DC hangover regarding the attendance but if we can beat MK and stay up around the top six then crowds will continue to rise. Weve started with a clean slate under Coggers so it’s going to take time.

Since the introduction of the East family stand . The away end terrace have been cut to just 800 allowing space for home supporters in the east terrace. However: if our crowds are poor . The club could give back the 1000 away terrace and restrict east terrace for home fans. The best the club could offer Pompey is another 200 away terrace tickets .
My main point ( saying for years ) is on the BIG SIX games . The entire south stand can be given up to away fans generating nearly £26k a game . I said for years we have less than 200 S.T holders in south stand. This has proved right as Pompey have been given 600 in South stand and there are still 200 plus tickets for home supporters on sale.
The club ask us to identity ways to generate income. Allow the BIG SIX to take up the entire south stand . This would generate £26 x 6 = £150 k. Then reward the 100 plus S.T holders in south stand with a free pastie programme seat in South / west and a Blue santa hat for Christmas..

As a season ticket holder I object to moving after sitting in the same seat for many years I have a seat where I can see all the pitch without pillars can you guarantee that in the south west stand? However, if you were going to offer me a seat in the west stand I would happily take it or maybe away fans could go in there?! I feel that the only people suggesting that are not season ticket holders in the south stand!

Better still simply stop selling season tickets for the South Stand, I appreciate it will upset some fans but the bigger picture is that it will generate at least £150K a season in ticket sales alone. The club also then as the flexibility to change the allocation split between home and away fans on virtually a match by match basis i.e. ladt season Barnsley could have the whole South Stand.

I have no problem with that as long as I have a seat with no pillars so I can see and is not in the dribuild stand as too many steps to climb and too far away from the pitch. Why not make the whole of the west stand terrace seated?

My view on this is that home supporters (particularly season ticket holders) must come first. I would rather win in front of 8 to 9k fans than lose in front of 10 to 11k (with a vociferous away following). Only those that do not sit in the South Stand make such suggestions. Perhaps we should give away fans the Blackthorn end, where I stand. I don’t think so somehow. The best atmosphere for our team is to have fans on all four sides of the ground.

Why not make the whole of the west stand terrace seated? You obviously don't go in the west terrace. If you were to make it all seated, the front row of seats would have to be halfway up the existing terrace. If not, the first few rows of seats would not be able to see anything of the pitch due to the bank in front. Doing that would see another area with a vastly reduced capacity.

Weve started with a clean slate under Coggers so it’s going to take time. It’s not just the post DC hangover why attendances are down. The club will know the reasons though as they sent a questionnaire to all ex season ticket holders that didn’t renew this season and asked why. I can’t remember all of the questions but certainly they wanted to know reasons not renewed. The reason I gave was more about the owners than the manager. Generally though I think it’s that there is a lot less excitement for the club now than there was when ALQs took over when promotion was won and people believed we were a club on the up on and off the pitch with a fabulous new stadium on the way. Very few people believe that now and so attendances are heading back to where they were before the excitement of them taking over.

I was just being flippant Bideford Gas really my point is why should season ticket holders move just for another club? Gas on the mount summed up exactly how I feel. No one wants to move but everyone wants people in the south stand to give up their seats. I don't want to move to another seat for a pasty or whatever I sat there in the conference so why do I have to move now? Maybe if at the start of the season they said that would happen and knock £100 off people would have a choice. Remember the seated areas are more expensive than the standing yet we are made to feel we count for nothing by some fans.

I know your thinking of more revenue but it will be offset by increased stewarding & policing . If 800 extra Portsmouth supporters really have that much of an impact on our players, they should probably think about packing it in. We're not talking Marakana for the Eternal Derby. As for the extra costs? Even assuming half the Pompey attendees were concessions we'd still be charging £17 a head... That's £13,600, a fair bit more than the total Policing costs of £4,171 from August to March last season.
