Yes give them as many as they want; we need something to get our atmosphere going in our home games and a couple of thousand pompey chimes would raise our own game regarding atmos.

Looking at it laterally; would they move their season ticket holders to allow more Gas fans to attend Fratton Park?
My suspicion is a massive NO; so feck-em

Looking at it laterally; would they move their season ticket holders to allow more Gas fans to attend Fratton Park? My suspicion is a massive NO; so feck-em Portsmouth this season are currently working at an average of 91.9% of capacity. Rovers on the other hand at 57.6%. Logistically I think Portsmouth would struggle to facilitate a bigger allocation. Another side note is the away terrace can hold "up to 1,100 supporters". Rovers only gave Pompey 800 terrace tickets, so we could give a further allocation of 300 without moving anyone...

I was just being flippant Bideford Gas really my point is why should season ticket holders move just for another club? Gas on the mount summed up exactly how I feel. No one wants to move but everyone wants people in the south stand to give up their seats. I don't want to move to another seat for a pasty or whatever I sat there in the conference so why do I have to move now? Maybe if at the start of the season they said that would happen and knock £100 off people would have a choice. Remember the seated areas are more expensive than the standing yet we are made to feel we count for nothing by some fans. As I said earlier the easy solution is stopping selling season tickets in the South Stand, or offer reduced prices s/t's for every match bar the "big" games v Pompey etc and our last home game, as it's madness to see an an half empty south stand when we could fill it with away fans.

One side of me thinks we have empty seats and paying customers at the end of the day. Give them the extra 300 in the South - I don't think that's debatable. We're losing money and turning down customers... It's hardly as if we'd let in 7000 Pompey fans to compliment our 5000 regulars for a full house where we're outnumbered at home On the other hand, Season Ticket holders shouldn't have to move, I mean - that's one of the reasons people buy them, and I can imagine had you been sat in the same seat for years you'd also end up sat by the same people and make new mates who become part of the match day experience.

The only thing more embarrassing than a tent is a half empty tent.

My comment was a bit tongue in cheek; I believe we reduced the away terrace allocation due to the family stand taking a portion of the east terrace away from home supporters.
It's all swings and roundabouts, would prefer more Gasheads there on the day than away supporters - UTG

Trying to get my head around the bit about the away terrace allocation Phil. The away terrace is still the same size and the bit in front of the Poplar stand is always kept empty apart from the odd occasion it is given over to away fans( can't remember if it has happened this season but certainly did v Barnsley/Sunderland etc last.

It is always easier to comment when it’s not your seat you’re being asked to move out of. I’m not fussed on the Away fan numbers either way, we will beat them, victory and 3 points will be ours. 10 Pompey Fans or a thousand.
