Video of Gas Legend on the Beeb. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07r37kdEdit: Garry Kenneth is a Gas legend in the sense that he was legendarily bad. Thank god we have a defense now we can be proud of!

This featured on A View From The Terrace, a Podcast come BBC Scotland show that is utterly brilliant. Felt sorry for Kenneth really, seemed genuinely sad it didn’t work out down here. In my opinion, Garry Kenneth not being good enough was Mark McGhee’s fault, not Garry Kenneth’s.

He was actually really promising during the first couple of games, I think he might have even got a motm for one of them....

Good to see he’s lost a bit of weight since playing for us

I thought it was a good signing at the time. Wasn’t it an ACL injury? I think at one time we had 4 players out with the same injury. When he came back was poor and clearly overweight - impossible to know but wonder how things would have worked out if he didn’t have the injury?

His first 1 or 2 games he was immense, for whatever reason he went backwards thereafter, both with us and in his career it would seem.

Didn’t he play in a Bristol city testimonial game to the amusement of the great unwashed due to his size

Seeing Garry Kenneth & Guy Branson play in the same side still haunts me to this day!

Seeing Garry Kenneth & Guy Branson play in the same side still haunts me to this day! York away under McGhee, where we had Branston and Kenneth at CB and Tom Parkes on the left wing. That was one of the lowest points of my time as a gas head.
