Hard to think of another word other than atrocious.

Two hours, bloody hell. Thanks for your service in writing up these games for those of us (like myself) who live away, ‘tis appreciated.

I like scandalous, as I feel I've lost money. 

I don't even think it was as good as "atrocious" - like you words fail me to describe that performance.

Looked to me like Victor was the only one that actually gave a sh** last night.

My ratings for what it's worth:

Jaakola - 7 - Made a couple of decent saves and was composed despite a couple of dodgy backpasses.

Rodman - 4 - Poor performance and positioning was poor, crossing wasn't good enough but he at least showed some willingness to make things happen, they just didn't come off.

Craig - 4

Kilgour - 4

Davies- 4

All 3 centre backs were shaky and played some dreadful passes and were given the run around. I've marked them up simply because I think the midfield were so poor that the centre backs were left horribly exposed.

Kelly - 1 - My brother in law who came along with me last night said that Kelly was possibly the worth player he'd ever seen in the flesh. I wouldn't quite go that far but frankly he was an embarrassment.

O Clarke - 2 - Same as Stevek, only marked up from a 1 because he got a couple of shots away. His passing, control, and tackling were as bad as I remember seeing from anyone.

Upson - 2 - marked up for a half decent free-kick that clipped the bar. Otherwise he was abysmal.

Ogogo - 5 - I was staggered that he gave way for Bennett, when he was the only midfielder who looked capable of making a challenge. Most likely it was because he'd been booked.

Nichols - 1 - missed a sitter in the opening exchanges and from then on it was clear that his confidence was totally non-existent and it resulted in him getting literally everything wrong. No strength in 50/50s, awful first touch, no ability to find a pass, kept getting bundled off the ball. Embarrassing and probably his worst game for us.

Adeboyejo - 6 - marked up for his gutsy and committed display in the first half but his second half performance was very ineffective and the Bolton defence had him in their pocket. Just not good enough on the night.

Subs:

Smith - 3 - showed some energy but nothing came off and was too lightweight.

Bennett - 2 - pointless. Nothing came off and his attempt to beat a man before just running the ball out typified his cameo.

Bolton - 7 - they made us look like amateurs and fair play to them they looked nowhere near relegation fodder. Outpaced us, outthought us, and outmuscled us. I was really shocked at how much better organised than us they were, but even having said all this, our performance was so bad that Bolton didn't even have to get into top gear to beat us comfortably.

We've got Bromley on the horizon you know?

I always read your match reports and usually agree with what you write, but on this occasion I must disagree with this:-


Nichols 2 Another abysmal performance
Adeboyejo 5 At least he tried but with the service received and the fact that we never got any players forward to support the strikers he was bang average.

You gave Adeboyejo  a possible reason why he never scored because of the service he received yet Nichols was also a victim of that but at least he made 2 chances, and yes he should have done better with them, and I am not running Adeboyjo down, but pointing out the Nichols was far more involved in the game, was far more effective in the game.

I believed you were biased by the penalty miss and influenced by the crowds opinion of Nichols, who is now become the whipping boy again but he has good company both Taylor and Lambert were whipping boys.

But overall you team assessment was spot on.

Scandalous or Treacherous would be my word.

Scandalous because everyone who attended to support the home team were ripped off of their hard earned cash and time they will never get back. I have never seen a collective all perform so badly in the same game as last night.

Treacherous as the performance reeked of players not playing for the manager and making a statement .

I am disgusted that MY team played like they couldn’t give a stuff ... As for Clarke and Nichols I wouldn’t play them again simple they looked like park players guesting in a league match ...

Clarke should be given club captaincy but Craig surely has to run things on the pitch. Nichols should be shipped out to whatever level in January he is a lack of quality germ that has now infected the whole team who must be mystified that he still plays and messes up every game.

Where in any sport in any team would someone be allowed to under perform so badly for two plus years ...

Wish I could go on Having a Gas and talk to Coughlan about it live on air FFS ! Would make good radio for sure !
