GC has not finally made Tony Craig captain to drop him! It was tactical but also I wonder was it Craig who just before had blocked that goalbound shot which would probably have gone in but ended up in the keepers hands? Not sure but he got up looked a bit dazed and then made that awful pass for the second goal. IMO Ollie Clarke is not a League 1 standard player and should be on the bench. I would even go as far as to say one of the youngsters should have been given a chance in preference to him whilst Sercombe has been out. In the same way I think Deon Moore should have been given a fair chance to prove himself whilst the other strikers have been so bloody awful and lightweight.

Sorry disagree with the theme. Thought Craig was ok.
The issue is playing 5 at the back without a "great" striker. Look Smith, Nicholls and Adeboyejo are all decent as that second second striker but none are quite reliable enough to lead the line.
Without JCH we should revert to the 4-5-1. Get Rodman closer to the striker.

Sorry i have to disagree with the post if GC was getting/making right decisions he would not have started Ollie Clarke. No manager gets every decision right.

True - and to be fair, how do we know he got it wrong? No other sensible central midfield options apart from Sercombe, who was returning to fitness. If he had started, who knows, he might have blown up and GC would be getting criticised for that.

A looming set of decisions for GC will involve the forthcoming January window for the disposal and acquisition of players. We clearly need more attackng midfield players in the squad and he must be praying that a fit JCH stays.
On the departure front he must get rid of Bennett and Nichols. Neither player has a future at the club and neither player has the ability to positively influence games from a starting position or off the bench. If their contracts are to be believed, Rovers will need to subsidise their move. Another player needing first team football is Kelly. Give him the second half of the season with a L2 club and she how he shapes up. At present, whenever the fullbacks are fit, he is way down the pecks ng order.
