The worst thing is they probably have actually dropped their prices this season. There’d be some expensive away days if we ever got in the Championship, teams like Leeds and Wednesday charge over £40.

It wasn't that long ago that we were studying the prices at Conference clubs!

I refuse to attend any Rovers league away match if the ticket is over £25. If enough people did the same and hit these Clubs in the pocket, then these greedy b*stard Clubs would soon lower their prices. Peterborough for £27 anyone? No. F*ck off.

It is good that they have but I also think that’s very cheap, £35-£40 would be reasonable for that level (not that I’m knocking it). It does seem very backward though that there’s a maximum of £30 in the PL but you could pay over £40 in the Chanpuonship, something should be introduced at that level too.

Pretty damn sure the actual AVERAGE price for a Premier League away ticket is around £26.5 / £27.0. Seriously - we should boycott any Club charging more than £25 for third tier league football. The b*stards.

I remember my dad taking myself and my sister away to Watford in 1991 (28 years ago).... We were aged 14 and 15 years old but there wasn't a child discount, so it cost my old man £60 for the 3 of us....

The worst thing about over inflated prices, is that once you throw in petrol and food, you're looking at £100 for 2 people to see us stuffed 4-0 by Peterborough.

This is why I rarely go away anymore, we’ll that combined with having a mortgage, wife and kid. I could afford to spend a tonne on a Saturday every other week before that . These days that’s my personal weeks budget if I’m lucky.

Premier league can charge relatively low prices as the difference between the previous and current TV deal more than covers gate receipts. Could charge £0 & they are better off than before. Every penny is profit

We'll be charging Ipswich fans £26 to sit in a tent when they visit us.

There should be caps at all levels, football clubs will run themselves in an unsustainable way whatever; fans shouldn't be running their finances unsustainably.

I went to an EFL fans forum and the issue of capping away tickets was discussed. The response was (and I paraphrase): "The EFL doesn't have any directive from their paymasters at Sky TV on this issue. The EFL doesn't tell Clubs what they can charge. So supporters can just f*ck off if they don't like it". So I f*cked off.
