In the 18 League games played to date GC has won 31 points of the available 54, ie 57%.
In the same period in 2018/19 DC won 17 points of the available 63, ie 27%.
OK, the football isn't great but GC is doing a great job with the resources available. He will do even better when he can bring in more of his own players once contracts begin to expire and he can shed some of the dead wood.
Some people need to be careful what they wish for.

What's the point of bringing DC's stats from last season into this thread, we all know they were poor hence why he departed! Not sure anybody is really expecting him to do any better than he is at present post January?

You can’t argue with the wins, no doubt. But, do people really think that the only reason we aren’t playing champagne football is because he hasn’t had the chance to bring his own players in? (The entire defence and goalkeeper are his players as are the forwards, bar Nichols for a start). It’s just not going to happen. GC is all about attritional football. It’s not going to change. He is getting results though and as much as the style seems turgid and an exercise in short-termism, if we get to have a day out in the championship for a season off the back of it it seems a fair price to pay.

Is there still a curse with winning the manager of the month?

Totally agree with tiresome comment. It seems some people can't or won't recognise the qualities of BOTH managers.
DC did a splendid job but lost his way in his final calendar year with us. GC is also doing a great job. We should appreciate the achievements of both guys --- the two of them are infinitely preferable to their immediate predecessors.
In reality, the lifespan of most managers ends in tears. The vast majority had short tenures at clubs. The unsuccessful managers get sacked. The successful managers move on to bigger clubs.

If ever there was a manager who would rather have respect of the fans than the accolades of the EFL then its GC....

Deserved nomination but can't see him beating Ainsworth tbh. More of the same though eh Graham. UTG 100% away record for the month, must be the winner. By that logic we could play seven home games in a month and lose them all then win 1 away game in that same month with GC winning the award as that would also be a '100% away record for the month'. Tbh when there are 2 managers who are unbeaten in four with 3 wins and a draw in those four it's very unlikely a manager will get the award having only played the 2, even if they were both away wins. Shame they don't count the cup games aswell ha. UTG

You cannot argue with the results, which have been good. You cannot argue with the style / quality of football which is not good. You cannot argue that since the DC days, Rovers have lost around 3000 off the home match gate. BRFC is now a zombie club, no one seems to care about the direction of travel, Waq apparently wants to get rid, there is no apparent buyer, blah blah blah. It has always been a tough gig supporting our club, but currently with the communication between club and supporter being so poor, I personally think without a massive investment of interest and cash the club is going-to struggle to progress.

Yeah Cogs will probably get fed up with Gasheads moaning about him go somewhere else do crap there and all the moaners will say see told you he was rubbish , meanwhile our new manager will have us passing it about with no final product and we’ll get relegated.
