We need to back this chap like wed back our club if it was dying! All hands to the pump and all effort focused, lets share this around the whole football community and worldwide on social media! Football family is the best family we can have when we need help! Let's smash all targets and absolutely push the hell out of this fundraising opportunity! Up the gas!

Really sad and touching story. It's a lovely idea to bring teddies to the ground to be given to the Children's Hospital.

Apart from bumping this again, I wanted to add the link to allow people to donate to metabolic support, the charity Adrian referred to Adrian is Head of Academy Coaching at Rovers, he looks after our future talent, nuff said.

Really proud of the club's response and general reception of such a tragic event. Some things transcend football, and I'm glad we can use the sport as a tool for goodwill whenever we can.

Keep this on the front page everybody. This is the type of stuff we need to be famous for, doing the right thing.
Bring a teddy on Saturday, if you want bring a Ted too and show them what a proper club is.

I bought a cuddly monkey, but over the past couple of days I've got kinda attached to it, so I might have to keep it, and buy another one.

If you have 7 mins of your time, please watch this. If you are able, please donate, if not, a Facebook, Instagram or twitter post to raise awareness means someone may be able to donate. I had no idea what Alexander’s Disease was until today. And that’s the power of sharing things such as this.
I know what it’s like to have a child with a rare genetic disease. Thankfully it’s not life threatening as in the case of Emilia, but I can relate to the sheer helplessness you feel knowing you can’t do anything, the compete unknown to the severity of the condition and then the lack of knowledge and understanding surrounding the syndrome because of the rarity of the complications along with funding the massively expensive research.
What a brave man Adrian Harvie is to sit there and tell us about it, a trait he clearly passed on to his little girl.
Adrian and Emilia are Bristol Rovers. Bristol Rovers are family.

Quite staggering just started the teddy bear collection on front of west stand. The tarpaulin is virtually full at the start of the west stand. Well done Gasheads! .

Our club gets a lot of criticism, sometimes warranted, sometimes not. But today made me really proud to support Bristol Rovers.
The sight of the teddies flying on to the pitch, from both sets of fans was a sight to behold and the video and tribute was really moving. I'll admit to a tear in my eye.
The thought of what that family has gone through reminds me that the football is only a game.

What a fantastic effort. As always with things like this Gasheads really show how generous the wonderful gashead family are. I hope Emilia's family found great comfort from today. God bless the little one.

The teddy bear throwing was an amazing spectacle and a lovely picture emilia displayed on the big screen. It was hard not to feel a bit tearful but well done to rovers and everyone in the ground.
