Can't stand the bloke, but he gets results. We can't afford him anyway Admittedly very unlikely but would do well.

Timing of this thread is shocking... Best win in ages and this is posted ....FFS ! I think the timing of GC’s little outburst slightly more shocking! Pathetic

Applicants are invited to apply for the job at bristol rovers.
Please note we the owners are trying to sell the club, cut the playing budget further and sell anyone we can in january. No previous experience required and salary will be competitive in a wal mart sort of way.

If we can't keep GC over L2 side then we should either look at recruiting from several leagues below us or just Dam giving up

Nah, yer alright. Think I'll pass. That's all good and well but it's also worth remenbering we're 48th in the English league ladder at present and it's massively rare for anyone to get a job higher than that without doing something special elsewhere. Opportunities for management are limited.

Agree, would be a great shout though maybe too expensive. If not Paul tisdale, did great job at Exeter on low budget bringing through youngsters

Has to be Ollie till the end of the season imvho Exactly what I was thinking. I wouldn't normally go for Ollie as our manager, but if there's a time to do a short term appointment just to see if we can keep this going until the end of the season, then now would be it. And Ollie is probably an excellent short term choice for us, atm. Might cost us in the long run, but f**k it, let's give it a go. Looks like a good idea for me too.
Holloway also said a few things lately and what i remember first is some weeks ago he said that first thing was that JCH deal had to be extended, so as to make other players of this level get the idea to come too, and maybe bring the club to a another level. To sign him we might have to conclude a JCH deal first.
But a GC resignment, him that brought JCH has his first player move in the club, is not a good sign. If GC moves, JCH does too, i guess.

Did an amazing job with Luton but was an absolute disaster with Stoke at the bottom of the Championship. He'd do well to get a much better team than us and would be close to Wales.

Suspect he earned enough credit at Luton to warrant a shot at one of the bigger clubs at this level, had a couple of years of success versus less than a year of disappointment. He would have been in 750k min at stoke so would be a big come down. Geography may well help, would be chuffed to get him given the brand of football he got Luton playing

My only concern would be that we're not set up to be an attractive footballing team.
