GC said in a interview that he was shocked and angry when sacked by Southend criticised lack of loyalty. Grateful for the opportunity at BR. Disappointed for him to leave as he has done a good job but not the character for the longer-term. But lacked the class expected of any manager in the football league in the way he handled himself at Ipswich. There is enough evidence here that he is a chancer and a hypocrite, not surprised he has had things to say about previous employers too. Good riddance

Tony Pulis. We have a hard working team that can grind out results. Pulis would be a perfect fit. Ex-Rovers player and still lives in the West Country. As a short term thing until the end of the season I would go with him or Holloway. Not been in favour of a olly return before, but right now it seems to fit and make sense. With either of them gates would go up by 2k straight away given there history with the gas. Also the players that seem such a hard bunch of honest player will respect pulis or Holloway from the get go due to what they have done in football. Also this is still a group of players that has a winning habit right now.Its not like this time like when GC took over.Everything is there to still push on for at least a playoff place over the next 4 months we just need the right man to not make major changes and just to continute steering the ship. Would be great if Holloway could put right the wrongs of 99/00 20 years later. It could be written in the stars.👍 I could be completely wrong but I have the impression that Ollie’s record is best when taking over settled teams on the up and getting them over the line than turning around a sinking ship.

It will probably be our current number 2. Joe Dunne. Dunne is going with him - flat mates 😄Utg
Club statement suggests Dunne is in charge for now.
May be flat mates but why would he go up North with GC just because GC wants to move closer to his family and remain GC's assistant manager for a struggling L2 side, when he could get the top job at a club 4th in L1? If he was an assistant manager then fair enough but he is really a manager himself. Ony reason for me for him to leave too would be if he has already been told he won't get the job himself.

Paul Tisdale: 7/4 Steve Cotterill: 3/1 Ian Holloway: 4/1 Nathan Jones: 4/1 Michael Flynn: 9/2 Michael Duff: 6/1 Lee Mansell: 8/1 Harry Kewell: 10/1 Kevin Nolan: 10/1 Nigel Adkins: 16/1 Chris Hargreaves: 18/1 Lee Clark: 20/1 Shaun Derry: 20/1 Carl Fletcher: 25/1 Lee Clark! f**king hell. A lot of unsuccessful, unlikable lower league journeymen included in that list. Shaun Derry has got the sack at his previous two clubs, Lee Clark likewise has done poorly at pretty much every club he's been at. Kevin Nolan, Michael Duff and Carl Fletcher don't look all that tempting either. If the likes of Ian Holloway and Nathan Jones are unrealistic, I'd seriously be tempted to give it to either Mansell or Hargreaves. They are deserving of it as anyone else.

Let's keep it internal. Hargreaves or Mansell will do for me. Not so sure about Holloway. It could be either a dream appointment or turn into a nightmare.
Let's be realistic, Pulis won't come here. We couldn't afford him and he will have eyes (understandably) on much bigger clubs.
