Ollie for me. But that’s just me being romantic.
He was on his podcast last month saying he likes to work for a board which leaves him to it but gives him backing. He’d probably get the first but not the latter.

ABSOLUTE NO BRAINER.
No brainer get Ollie in ASAP. He has the club at heart and understands the mentality of the GAS more than anyone. He can galvanise the playing side of the club together and hopefully keep it intact. Manse or Gary Penrice ( recently left QPR) as his assistant job done!
In the cold light of day GC did a great job, but let’s move on quickly now. He has gone !!!

Chris Hargreaves with Mansell as assistant already here and the board can remain out of site.

With our current style of play and a squad GC has built to play that way I wonder if the club will look for a Manager to continue in that vein. Whilst probably 'pie in the sky' but one of our old boys with vast higher league experience is available and plays football the long ball way! At 61 and probably unlikely to be given a job in a higher league elsewhere, could Tony Pulis be the stop gap we need in the event GC goes, to take this team with the momentum we are currently experiencing and have a good go at getting promotion whilst the 'big' clubs in this league are sleepwalking into mediocrity? Changing styles mid-season could potentially ruin the best chance we have of closing the gap on the Teds that we have in donkey's years! Good post but in the end whoever is appointed I doubt if style of play will come into it, it will be about economics and who’s cheap enough. Strangely that doesn’t particularly worry me. Don’t like to show GC any disrespect by discussing replacements when he’s not gone (but he opened Pandora’s Box with his interview) but a Chris Hargreaves and Lee Mansell pairing would have my support. UTG!

Why don't we run a raffle like we used to with the sponsorship. Would appoint a manager and raise a few quid for transfers.

Sorry for the stupid question, but Mansell is still with us right? Youth team manager. Thank you. So obvious choice for interim Manager?

Thank you. So obvious choice for interim Manager? Knows how to take a penalty under pressure so maybe passing on that knowledge on Tuesday night may come in handy......😀

Some need to realise that Ollie being a club legend will have absolutely zero effect on the team whatsoever. The majority of the playing squad weren’t even born when he was winning us the Div 3 title. They also aren’t Gasheads, in the supporting sense. Throw into the mix that he hasn’t done much in football full stop for many years, it would be one hell of a mistake from Wael to appoint him.

Yeah but the passion he has for this football club is infectious and would rub off on the players. I’m still unsure whether appointing him would be the right move but from the boards point of view it would get the fans off their back a bit and avoid the mem descending into a place of total doom and gloom.

Surely Holloway will want more money than the Arabs will pay - that alone means the likelihood of him being appointed is very, very low.

The answer is simple. Chris Hargreaves until the summer. Probably not simple but I agree. UTG!

I would actually like us to go for Holloway this time. Every time we have a vacancy I cringe at the suggestion of bringing him in, but I think Ollie til the end of the season in this instance we have nothing really to lose
