I wouldn't be against Ollie getting the job if he brought Penrice back with him.

Might as well shut this down now. Ollie is the overwhelming choice after an hour.

Given we won’t go down, now is arguably as good a time to hire a young manager with potential. Given the quality in L1 sucks and we could go up, now is arguably as good a time as any to hire an experienced promotion-winner. BLUF; who the fk knows!

Are any of these available managers actually on gardening leave. e.g. Nathan Jones. Was his contract paid up by Stoke or is he still technically employed awaiting a lump sum from his next employer?

Holloway is a pick for my fellow 50/60 year old who are merely chasing romance. I’d rather not sacrifice a potentially historic season for the sake of all that nonsense.

Ian Holloway, blimey...you lot really are suckers for punishment. That would be another nail in the promotion bid coffin

Tough one this.
I wouldn't be against Holloway but as others have said only if Penrice comes too. However, neither have managed or coached in L1 for a long time. I also wonder what sort of budget he'd expect. Even in the 90's he would regularly spend £200k+ on strikers. Most of those paid off big time but would our current board be willing to take the risk?
I wouldn't be against Tisdale. He did a good job at Exeter but although he achived a couple of L2 promotions his record in L1 isn't that great. He probably would be happy to work wihtin the budget as he would have had limited funds available at Exeter.
I wouldn't be against Jones but he has limited managerial experience compared to the other two and only 6 months in L1. He was also used to working with a decent budget at Luton and Stoke so it would be a different challenge at Rovers.
For me it's between those 3.
Would be very disappointed with anyone else on that poll list.

Anyone apart from Holloway. Is he really that bad? Love Ollie. Worry about him coming back but in the short term what's the worst that could happen??? One thing , I'm sure attendances would rise for one

I can’t deal with a young up and coming manager or a cheap option with all that’s going on at our club! We need a manager on our side, with blue blood and we need entertainment - we NEED Ollie! I am a rovers man - I come from down your way and I can play!!! What can you play??? I play the Holloway! Ollie, Ollie, Holloway! Holloway! Holloway! Ollie, Ollie Holloway! Ollie, Holloway! That was an era, used to hear that one regularly around the time of the oh so near promotion season in 2000 then it disappeared never to be sung again

Surprised Mansell is getting any votes. What's it based on? He hasn't even been considered good enough to be a first team coach under DC or GC. Zero experience of coaching a first team at any level.
Hargreaves too. His only managerial experience is relegation to non league with Torquay. Also sent back to work with the youngsters after GC had chance to bring in his own men.
DC had great success at Salisbury and served as assistant at Rovers. GC was a gamble that paid off but when the odds are against you it's not going to pay off every time.

We only lasted 2 seasons last time, so long ago I was a mascot during one of them. Im retired now.
