Ollie Clarke was very lucky not to get sent off today. Posh player made a run ( after OC was day dreaming) and he cynically grabbed him round the waist to pull him down. I was amazed he didn’t get a second yellow for it !

With the standard of refereeing today he probably forgot he had cards in his pocket.

Ah well, he didn't and he could (should) have won it for us in a tightly-contested affair against another promotion contender. Thought Ollie largely played well apart from a few wayward passes. He's always hard a cynical part to his game - you need players like that IMO.

I thought Ollie had a touch like a baby elephant today, it’s a shame he didn’t redeem himself by getting the winner at the end.

Speaks more about the overall standard of the team performance than one individual.

Hopefully we can get a creative player in the window.

We were sevens and eights out of tens ole ole ole Tony was a 9. Olly was a 5

Wouldn't get in my first XI let alone have him as captain.

Wouldn't get in my first XI let alone have him as captain. Craig is the captain of that team. Not sure where you sit but he was very vocal in the second half giving instructions and encouragement. As discussed in other threads the armband is just a symbolic thing for photos and PR stuff.

Hopefully One of our two previous managers might come in for him in the window... he is L2 at best.

I could imagine Kilgour being a future captain learning alongside him.

A major problem with Clarke is his discipline. He is a sending off waiting to happen. Every single game. With his approach to the game and his poor technical ability he places a huge amount of pressure on himself. Sadly, I don't think he will ever get better. He has a huge amount of experience but he has stalled in terms of output over the last few seasons. Perhaps that is a consequence of playing in L1 when his ability does not warrant that.
I'm no statistician but I wonder what percentage of games he gets carded.....

The foul today when he pulled their lad back on the edge of the area was typical Olly, wasn’t close enough to the man , switched off , got caught out , committed a foul. How he wasn’t booked and sent off is beyond me. He was on a booking already i think ?

If Abs is back next game then it would be mad to drop Upson or sercombe after today where they both played very well. Can’t see Olly keeping his place in the side after today. Thing is olly has won player of the season before so clearly has ability but seems to have gone backwards rather than improved this season.

Why do we always need to find a scapegoat to criticise? Seems TN has had a few good games so he's off the hook at the minute...

No need for a scapegoat. He was poor today , also as you say Nichols has had some good games lately. Just opinions on performances I can’t see anything nasty on here about Olly. We’re entitled to our opinions that’s what this place is for.
